2003-04: Brown made the team out of training camp and has been taking
his lumps of youth this season. Suffered an ankle injury that has
limited his playing time. Limited playing time in his first season with
the Kings. But did show glimpses of his physical, drive-to-the-net style
of game. The ankle injury impacted his development a little, but he will
be healthy and prepared for this coming season.

Talent Analysis
Brown has a nose for the net. He uses his speed and strong skating
ability to drive hard and creates scoring opportunities right on top of
the goalie. When not driving the net, Brown finds the seams in the
defense and uses his excellent shot. He plays with grit and
determination and will not back down from the physical play. Solid in
the corners and in front of the net, Brown give his best effort every
shift and can be a scoring threat from just about anywhere on the ice,
whether in a crowd or one-on-one. |
 |
Future
Brown made the NHL roster straight out of training camp. The 2003-04
season will be a learning process for Brown as he adjusts to the rigors
and training expectations of an NHL player. He's a gritty top-line
scorer, very comparable to Adam Deadmarsh.
