| In the 2 weeks that I was at Alma, I learned so much, and was exposed to so many new people and ideas. We all got to know each other so fast. I remember people commenting on the 2nd day "It seems like we've been here forever!" Everyone was so wonderful, and eager to talk. Or at least I was...it seems like John was always sitting in the "meeting place" trying to read, or write, and then I'd come along...and all progress would cease :) And then there was the neverending Ultimate Frisbee, which I never played. Maybe I should have though, and learned something else. When I first got to Alma, I went in and the person who stood out as the happiest person there, had to have been Amy Lang...and then there was the problem of my insurance...but everyone was great....I remember Skittles saying that she liked my name. My peer group leader, Jana, was great...she let us create our own name tags :) My peer group (Danylle, Jessie, Jessie, Allison, Becca, Jen, Jen, Mindy, and Adele) loved Justin Timberlake...at least most of them did. And you can't forget our collage with the gorilla for a face. We had a great time together...lots of deep serious conversations...and we had a lot of fun to balance it out...riding with Mike, and all the other van rides. Remember the frat guys singing to us on our 7/11 run???? How about singing Leaving on a Jetplane, on our way to the dance. I love you guys :) I became close with so many people. My roommate Danylle...she is probably the person who lives furthest away from me too....thanks for al the encouragement. We got along wonderful...there were no problems whatsoever...even when we were peeking out the windows...and when we freaked out when we thought someone listened to us holler MAN WHORE!!!! All the knocking on our door, to tell us to go to sleep :) I miss you. John...Tai...Laura..Eric.and all my other breakfast buddies. We were always the first people at breakfast...at least some of us :) All of you runners who thought I was crazy...cause I was up at the same time as you, and all I did was sit there... Jason, who is a totally crazy person, but one of the nicest I have ever met. I'll never forget your Haiku's!!! Charley...you and your "I say tomato..you say tomato" you are so talented. Never lose that. Charles (superman)--You're so great...you should learn how to play the piano though...it was nice talking to you in the morning...even though you never sat by us....cept for once :) Tai~ you were there for me babe! I am so glad I got to know you, you are so awesome...and you sing superbly!!! Laura!!! You know what...at first I didn't like you, you drove me nuts. But then once I started getting to know you, and getting used to you...I loved you babe! You're so awesome, even though you are obsessed with butts. Eric~you know what...I will never forget your orange suede shoes. That is how I will remember you forever. Brad~ You were like my older brother, you were there for me to talk to...and we could just mess around....you're awesome, and I can't wait till we hang out :) Adele~You are so sweet...you maked my week amazing, you're such a talented actress!!! We have got to keep in touch :) |
