TAAL is involved in the manufacture & supply of Chassis for Mahindra & Mahindra jeep division, also manufacturing chassis for “SCORPIO” model of M&M. Company is also involved in the manufacturing and exporting of Precision Tubes for the automotive sector.

I am responsible for Coordinating and leading my team from Company side. My focused area is Materials Management activities including Configuration. The modules implemented are Materials Management, Production Planning, Sales & Distribution, FI & CO.

                                                                      

Implementation Details:

 

SAP R/3 version 4.6B at TAAL involved the carrying out of Gap Analysis, preparation of Business Blue print and implementing the MM module & CIN version 3.0A. This project is unique, in the sense that it has challenging Business scenarios.

 

1.      Carried out an in-depth study of the business processes related to Materials management and mapped them onto the SAP R/3 processes.

2.      Designed the Organization structure from MM point of view to represent the legal entity, which is well integrated with the structures of other modules.

3.      Integration of the Materials management module along with CIN.

4.      Mapping of Domestic & Imports Purchases, Subcontracting scenarios with excise implications and release strategies.

5.      Integration of MM business transactions with other modules mainly FI, SD & PP.

We hired “GNS” Consultancy service for the BPR. Under this project we proposed productivity improvement worth Rs.1Cr Savings per month. Out of this, we achieved Rs.30 Lac saving before I left the company.
