~Setting~

This is an overview of the world the RPG takes place in. You can find a complete listing of all the towns here. Most of the travelling is done by ship- overland travel is dangerous and unheard of. This is a medieval-style fantasy setting, IE there are no cars, hair dryers, electric dancing robots.... yeah. :3

We also have a rather large map of the game world to clarify where everything is. Ignore the things that aren't labeled, they're secret. n.n;;;;;;;

Ake: Ake is a small village found deep in the jungles to the south. The few people that live there live in tribes and are considered by most to be uncivilized. Nearby is the secluded Fairy Village, and it is rumored that deep within the jungles surrounding Ake one can find the abandoned palace of Anuas, the Fire Demon God.

The Divine Tower: This is as far east as most westerners will travel. The divine tower is a tall, jade green building that reaches to the sky. It is the centerpoint of the world's focal religion, which preaches tolerance and begs forgivness from the Shisoku. Many gypsies and nomads make the base of the Divine Tower their home.

The Fairy Village: Within the jungles of Ake, one can find the secluded Fairy Village high amongst the treetops. Faires are a shy race, but take no greater delight than tormenting and teasing humans. Many travellers who have happened upon the fairy village have been taken advantage of in one way or another.

Farce: A small city-state constantly at war with its neighbor, Stanley. Many fine soldiers come from Farce, though all have a seething hatred of people from Stanley.

The Isle of the Farthest: The Isle of the Farthest is located at the western edge of the world, and if one stands on the coastline there the dropoff into nothingness is quite visible- the world, as it seems, really is flat. The inhabitants of the Isle are quite strange- they all seem to be rather crustacean. All are bright red, posess antennae, claws, and many legs, yet walk upright like humans. They were once servants of Forneus, the Water Demon God; nowadays, all of the islanders live happily and peacefully.

The Great Arc: A beautiful island resort found within a long island chain in the western sea, The Great Arc is not only famous for its sunny beaches and warm atmosphere, but also for its many coastal caves that are rumored to host hidden riches in pirate gold.

Huang City: The city farthest to the east, Huang City is actually quite large, and is reminiscent of our own ancient China. The Baron of Huang has forged an uneasy alliance with Xuan city at the present, for both cities have warred extensively against each other for quite a long time. Easterners have little knowledge of Huang City, and it is supposedly the location of the final gate that was sealed by the Holy King to prevent the Demon Lords from escaping the abyss.

Justern: A small city to the north located on the edges of a gigantic frozen lake. Many of the people from Justern are hunters of some sort. The city has recently been troubled by an increase in monsters in the surrounding area.

Kidlanto: A village to the north, also troubled by an increase in monsters. While small, Kidlanto is picturesque- almost the type of place you would find in a storybook. It also hosts a small harbor.

Lance: After the death of the Holy King, his descendants made Lance their permanent home. The Holy King's Palace sits nearby, a vast, beautiful structure carved from white marble. Many artists and thinkers make Lance their home.

Librof: Another small city, Librof is the home of the Lasaieve trading firm. While not as corrupt as the firm in Yamas, the firm is currently being rocked by an in-family argument over who will inherit the business, and the tenseness of the situation can be felt throughout the entire city.

Loanne: A large castle town ruled by a Marquis. Loanne has always been a powerful nation and, while it has had its share of poor rulers, it has always managed to pull through. Loanne is politically a very powerful state, and is often propositioned by other rulers for treaties of some sort.

Loob: A tiny, TINY village at the base of Loob mountain. Loob is under constant threat of attacks from the several dragons that make the mountain their home, and is also very, very closely located to where the gate that released Byunei, the Demon Goddess of air.

Moses: A large city spanning both sides of a small bay. In between the two sides of the city is a small island, linked to each side by a bridge. In the days of the Demon king, the old and dead were tossed into a well on the island. No one knows what is down there now, for any adventurers who have gone inside have not come back out.

Mules: A port city within walking distance of Loanne. Mules hosts the second largest port in the world after Pidona.

The Mung Village: Just past the Desert of Death that seperates the eastern world from the west lies the small Mung Village. The Mung are a people much like the Mongolians; nomadic, tribal, and very mystical. The Mung are a matriarchal people.

Pidona: Pidona is the largest city in the world. It hosts representatives of people from all over the western parts of the map, and is famous for its port (The largest in the world), churches, and palace. It is also home of the Devil's Palace, which can be found deep within the slums. The Devil's Palace was supposedly once the home of Arakes, the Earth Demon God, but has now been cleared of most of its treasure by adventurers.

Podol: A small town to the North, tiny Podol is dawrfed by a large castle on a cliff. The lord of this castle is a vampire, and every month demands a young virgin to be sent to his castle, after which she is rarely seen again- and only at night.

Rashkuta: On the banks of a dead sea in the jungles of the far east, one can find the rather bizarre city of Rashkuta. The people of Rashkuta are descendants of the ones who worshipped the Demon King. As punishment, the entire race was turned into elephants. They all resemble the Hindu god Ganesha in some form or another.

Shinon: A small, quaint hamlet in the Loanne region. It, too, is often under threat of monster attack, so it will often hire hunters from various regions to defend the village.

Stanley: Stanley is, ironically, quite similar to Farce. It too spawns many great soldiers, all of which posessing an immense hatred for the Farcenian army.

Vanguard: A very attractive coastal city. Although a great deal of its population consists of ex-thieves and pirates, Vanguard is a relatively peaceful city. In Legend, it was said that Vanguard was used as a floating vessel for the holy king to reach the underwater castle of the Water Demon God.

Wilmington: A port town which is home to the Fullbright firm. Of the three merchant guilds, the Fullbright firm is the least corrupt, as well as the least successful.

Xuan City: Reminiscent of ancient Japan, Xuan city is constantly at war with Huang city, though they are currently part of an uneasy truce. The leader of Xuan is always a student of the Mother Oracle of the Mung tribe.

Yamas: A large port city, though no match for Mules or Pidona. Yamas is run by the corrupt Dophorre merchant's guild, which grips the city with an iron fist. All the citizens of Yamas fear the trading firm greatly. Yamas is also a hotbed for criminals and ruffians.

Zweig: Another castle state, the duke of Zweig holds an annual tournament in which teams of fighters are pitted against each other in a battle royale. 1
