either 'ash wood' or 'glade' and 'Cleantha' means
'blossom'. Noble ash wood blossom...?

Gender: Male
Race: Human
Likes: flowers, pots and urns, flower arrangements,
fluffy cushions, milk
Dislikes: insects, weeds, high-pitched noises, cheaply
made gardens
Hobbies: Eriol makes flower arrangements. He enjoys
making them not because it was one of the sources of
his family's livelihood, but he thinks that it is a
way of expressing himself. When he's not doing
arrangements, he tends to his flower garden or plays
with his younger siblings. He also collects botany
books, particularly those written by Judith.
Strengths: Eriol is a very creative young man. He can
make designs out of almost anything he can get his
hands on. His knowledge of various kinds of plant life
is also something he is very proud of.
Weaknesses: Eriol tends to be very meticulous about
anything concerning flowers, cleaning and putting
things in order. He wants everything to be perfect in
color, style, presentation, etc. Eriol can't fight
very well too.
Goals: Eriol wants to see and study the various plant
life of the world. He also wants to meet Judith in
person...
III- Deeper... go Deeper. Appearance:
Eriol is short young man, standing at roughly 5'5"
and weighs 130 lbs. He has a lean slender frame, which
had little muscle to show off. His skin feels a little
tough and it has a healthy tan color due to the time
he spends outdoors. His face is long with high
cheekbones, a pointed chin and a long-bridged nose. He
has big ears, which are obscured by his hair. Eriol
has shoulder-length dark green hair, which he keeps in
a bun-like fashion at the back of his head. His bangs
are equally long but he lets them hang down the sides
of his face. One thing to notice about him is when he
smiles, the points of his fangs (which are a little
longer than average) peek out of his upper lip.
Eriol's clothes are simple, as he values
functionality over style. He does insist on having
something white with his outfits though. His favorite
outfit consists of a long-sleeved, high-collared,
loose red shirt, form-fitting white pants, a pair of
long, thick woolen red socks and a pair of black work
boots (which seems to be one size bigger). When
working in his flower shop, Eriol wears a white apron
over his clothes and a pair of black rubber gloves. A
big pair of stemless eyeglasses sits on the end of
Eriol's nose. On one end of the eyeglasses is a length
of silver chain that is attached to his collar by a
silver clip. When he is out of the house, he carries
with him a big brown bag made of animal hide.
Personality:
Eriol is a quiet young man who talks softly
but carries a big stick. He believes that actions
speak louder than words and he also believes in the
language of the flowers. He treats things with care
and respect, more so if the thing wasn't his. He goes
well with his family and is friendly and helpful
towards other people. He is also noted to have a high
sense of loyalty to his friends.
On the bad side of Eriol, he is sensitive about
comments to his height and occupation. He'll argue
about it for a while and if he thinks it's going to be
a long fight, he'll just throw a vial of sleeping or
paralyze potion at the other person to shut them up.
He is also known to be a solid neat freak that thinks
that mess and disorder are the banes of man's
existence.
He also seems to have developed a huge crush on
Duchess Judith of Pidona, but he doesn't want anyone, especially his
sisters, to know. They'd tease him endlessly for it.
History:
Eriol is born to a rather large family in the
big port city of Pidona. He lives with his two pairs
of grandparents, his parents, his six sisters, his
aunt and uncle and his three cousins. Of the nine
children (six girls and three boys), Eriol is the
third child and the youngest son. His two older
brothers were already married and were living with
their own families. There was another son but he died
during the last Shisoku two years ago. Despite the
loss and being a big family, Eriol's parents tried
their best to give their children equal shares of
love.
Eriol grew up having a normal childhood. His life was
normal; he went to school like normal children, just
being a normal young man. He did have a quality that
made him a tad different.
When he was a young boy, Eriol developed a liking to
plants, particularly flowers. He had thought of them
as beautiful and wanted to work with them. His parents
let him have a garden after begging them endlessly for
weeks. He was so overjoyed when they finally agreed.
Eriol himself worked on his garden, which counted as
one of the biggest in Pidona, and then uses the
flowers for his flower arrangements. That was when he
discovered that he had a talent for arranging flowers.
Seeing that people liked his flowers, Eriol and his
parents decided to turn his hobby into a profession,
aside from their other businesses: a bakery and a
weapon shop/smithy. Eriol uses the money gained from
his flowers to study more about plants.
Eventually, Eriol's flower shop became a regular icon
in Pidona's business establishments but Eriol wasn't
satisfied. He wants to have more varieties of plants
and he knows there are still hundreds of them to be
found outside of Pidona. His botany books told him so.
Now if only Eriol could convince his parents to let
him see other places...
IV- Battle Style
Weaponry:
Eriol keeps within his person a short sword,
although he seldom uses it. He doesn't go out much and
the reason why he has the short sword is because of
his father. Eriol can use it but don't expect him to
do any fancy mad skills with it.
While Eriol is bad with his short sword, he can be
deadly with plants. He keeps vials and bottles full of
potions, powders and extracts with him, ready to throw
at his unsuspecting foe.
Magic and Affinity: Wind is Eriol's magic affinity.
While he has no knowledge of using magic, he is
willing to learn though.
Skills: Eriol has a vast knowledge on plants and their
numerous properties. He can use them as either
medicines or weapons. If he fails with using his sword
in a fight, there's always that handy bottle of
sleeping potion or two.
Battle Style: In terms of hand-to-hand combat, Eriol
can survive a one-on-one but he would be better off
running away rather than stand on his ground if it's
with two and above. If so, it's best if he stays at
the back and act as a support.
