When Ken opened the door this morning, he called out for me to come and see. There was snow everywhere. Eight inches had fallen during the night. It was cold but I didnft mind. I cleared the snow from my car, poured boiling water on my windshield and windows So that I could see. In Arkansas, we would have a couple days off because of a snow like this. Nobody knows how to drive in the stuff. So I learned how this morning as I drove to work. I was only five minutes late. Traffic moves a lot slower when it is dangerous like that. I couldnft gauge the amount of extra time I would need. Now I know?20 extra minutes instead of 15. Get one of the scrapers with the handles that I thought were so funny looking. And a bucket. We will need a bucket with a spout To pour hot water over the windows, which worked great. I nearly wrecked the car this morning, Not because of the slick road but because my eyes were glued to the mountains Dusted with powder like that, covering the houses. With all the mud hidden, the town looks so clean! My first real winter. Wadayama is sugary today. |
