Episode 21: There's Something About Kurobon"

(Rei's mom is driving her daughter to a beauty pagent, and Akira, Shoizu and Ken tag along as support.)
Ken: And to meet some girls.
(And to meet some girls.)
Ken: Better.
Shoizu: Whom are you talking to?
Ken: No one.
Rei's mom: I'm glad you boys could take time out of your busy day to come support Rei-chan.
Akira: No problem Lee san. I wasn't really up to much today.
Ken: And it will be an enlightening experience for us all.
Shoizu: Do they get catered?
Rei's mom: By the best I'll bet.
Shoizu: I'm sold.
Akira: How long untill we get there?
Rei's mom: Only twenty more minutes.
(Rei is in a pretty blue dress, and she has makeup on. Also her long black hair has been let out, and she wears a nice hat too. Even with all of this though, the young lady looks rather unhappy. Meanwhile Jack is riding a bicycle through b-da land. He pedals until he gets to the edge of town then stops in front of a bench.)
Jack: Whew! I wish I knew how to drive.
(Then minutes later, Aka shows up.)
Jack: I see that you arrived!
Aka: Yeah. Midoribon is really pushing it. I know he's supposed to protect all, and me but he isn't my father or boyfriend.
Jack: Yeah. Hey, how did you know I was still in town?
Aka: If there's something you and your brother have in common it's that you're stubborn. I knew you wouldn't leave here without him back on the good side where he belongs.
Jack: Oh I see.
Aka: And I know how to get him back. Lets go.
(Jack and Aka depart. Meanwhile Black dragon summons Kuro.)
Kuro: Yes Black dragon?
Black: As you may or may not know, I am now the only dragon left.
Kuro: I know.
Black: So you're gonna have to start pullin' your weight around here.
Kuro: And how will I do that?
(Black toses Kuro a small computer chip.)
Black: When this is attached to your robot, it has the power to level a city.
Kuro: You're not suggesting.
Black: Blow it up.
Kuro: Our plan was to take over the city! Not destroy it!
Black: May I remind you who is more powerful here.
(Kuro growls and leaves with the chip, and once outside he attaches it to his robot and flies out to commit this deed. Meanwhile Akira and the others have made it to the pageant.)
Shoizu: I have never seen this much food in one place before!
Ken: And I have never seen so many girls in one place before!
Akira: Hey guys we came to support Rei.
Rei's mom: You kids have fun. I have to go register Rei-chan. (To her daughter) You're gonna be the top here!
(She exits.)
Akira: Well I guess we should go have a good time.
(Shoizu and Ken are gone.)
Akira: Well I guess I don't need to speak twice.
(Then he looks at Rei, who looks scared and unhappy.)
Akira: Hey, you haven't said a thing since we left home! Any thing wrong?
Rei: Akirabon. I don't want to be here..
(Akira frowns.)
Akira: Then what are you doing here?
Rei: This is all my mom's idea. She thinks I'm to tomboyish so she made me come.
Akira: Well.
Rei: Want a taste of my hammer?
Akira: No ma'am. What are we gonna do for you?
(Meanwhile Kuro has arrived in town and is about to fire a shot when..)
Shiro: So Kurobon we meet again?
Kuro: Shirobon you fool! It's a pleasure to beat you.
Kiiro: He's not by himself you know
Kuro: Hmm Kiirobon. Like you have any skills.
Kiiro: You take that back!!!
Ao: I'm joining the party too!
Kuro: Three on one. I like these odds.
(Kuro laughs evilly, and then the White Blose takes a shot at him. He avoids this and uppercuts the Blose. Then the Yellow crusher blasts away at the black b-daman. Kuro avoids these and fires a shot at the yellow crusher. Kiiro moves swiftly out of the way, and watches as the shot makes a huge crator in the empty b-da park.)
Ao: Those are not normal shots.
(Ao turns on the radar and picks up the chip on Kuro's robot.)
Ao: Guys! He's packing MAJOR heat!
Shiro: How?!
Ao: He's got some kind of power booster chip on his robot and so it makes his shots TEN TIMES MORE POWERFUL!!!
Kiiro: What the heck?!
Shiro: That means that he could take us all down with relative ease!!
Kuro: Even without the chip I could destroy you all.
(He fires again and again. Shiro and the gang avoid each shot knowing that one hit could destroy their bot. Meanwhile Aka and Jack move towards the dragon's mountain headquarters.)
Aka: Well well well. Here we are.
Jack: You're SURE that you know what your doing.
Aka: Sure am. Come on.
(They head in, as at the pageant Rei is about to go on.)
Akira: Okay. All you have to do is what I said.
Rei: Right. Thanks Akirabon.
(Then Akira gets a buzz on his pager.)
Rei: Since when do you have a pager?
Akira: It's an important tool for heroes on the go.
(He checks it and it is a message from Shiro to come help out.)
Akira: Uhh Rei! I have to go!
Rei: But wait!!
Akira: Don't worry, Just do what I said and you'll be fine!
(Rei unsure at first finally nods, and Akira runs outside, and soon catches a bus back to town. Meanwhile the fight in town is heating up.)
Shiro: Kurobon! Take this!
(He fires again, and Kuro deflects it. Then Kurobon grabs the Blose and throws it into the Braver.)
Kiiro: That's it!
(He fires a lighting b-da.)
>>Ao: You don't have lighting!
>>
>>Shiro: Shhh! If it works does it matter?
>>
>>(The lighting hits Kuro and shocks his bot.)
>>
>>Kuro: What is this?!
>>
>>(Then Kuro shakes it off, and fires at Kiiro.)
>>
>>Kiiro: Not good.
>>
>>(Kiiro is about to be hit when the Dragonblade flies in and deflects the shot with it's sword.)
>>
>>Akira: Help's here you guys!
>>
>>Kuro: The brat. Well this time its your doom.
>>
>>(Akira swings his sword and cuts the b-da of the Black devistator.)
>>
>>Kuro: What the?
>>
>>(The robot begins to malfunction.)
>>
>>Kuro: Grrr.. How could I loose?
>>
>>Akira: Cos we're the good guys!
>>
>>(Kuro begins to escape.)
>>
>>Ao: We can't let him get away!
>>
>>Shiro: After him!
>>
>>(The four of them follow Kuro, and meanwhile back at the dragons' hideout..)
>>
>>Aka: The mountain is sure hard to climb.
>>
>>Jack: Tell me about it.
>>
>>(Then they see the Black devistator coming towards them.)
>>
>>Aka: It's gonna crash into us!
>>
>>Jack: Nooo!!
>>
>>(The robot screeches to a hault and goes behind the mountain.)
>>
>>Aka: That was close.
>>
>>(Then Shiro, Kiiro, Ao, and Akira's bots suddenly appear.)
>>
>>Jack: Not again.
>>
>>(The robots again go over them and to the back.)
>>
>>Aka: I think that we're not the only ones trying to battle against Kurobon.
>>
>>Jack: I think we can get in on the other side.
>>
>>(They go that way, and see that the bots have been abandoned, and the chase has continued inside.)
>>
>>Aka: Onward and inward!
>>
>>(Jack and aka head in. Meanwhile the boys are chasing Kuro down.)
>>
>>Ao: He has the advantage! He knows where to go in these tunnels!
>>
>>Shiro: As long as we don't give up, we can find him!
>>
>>(They continue to run and then get to the center of the cave, which is empty.)
>>
>>Kiiro: No one is here.
>>
>>Akira: I saw Kuro dash into this place though!
>>Ao: Maybe he led us here because it was a..
>>
>>(Then Black dragon appears behind them.)
>>
>>Ao: Trap?
>>
>>Black: Time to die! JIGOKU.
>>
>>Shiro: WAIT! IF YOU DO THAT WE ALL DIE!!!
>>
>>Black: No matter, my comrades are dead so why is life worth living?
>>
>>(Kuro comes in.)
>>
>>Kuro: Black! Think about this!!
>>
>>Black: Shut up!!
>>
>>(Then Aka and Jack come in.)
>>
>>Jack: Kurobon!
>>
>>Kuro: Brother?!
>>
>>(Black dragon faces them.)
>>
>>Black: So many b-daman so little time. I think I'll kill the girl and this other black one first.
>>
>>Aka: Oh no!
>>
>>(Black fires a mini shot, that has enough power to destroy a b-daman at Jack and Aka.)
>>
>>Shiro: Jack! Akabon!
>>
>>(Just as it's about to impact, Kuro dives in the way.)
>>
>>Akira: Kurobon!
>>
>>(Kuro is hit by the blow and knocked 10 feet across the room.)
>>
>>Jack: Brother!
>>
>>(Jack runs to him, and Aka smiles.)
>>
>>Aka: I knew it.
>>
>>Black: What?
>>
>>Aka: Kurobon was never under your control.
>>
>>(Everyone gasps.)
>>
>>Shiro: But Akabon, we saw him evil ourselves!
>>
>>Aka: I thought so too, but then I started to think.
>>
>>Black: Hmmph Stupid girl Kurobon is evil like me.
>>
>>Aka: As he would like you to think, but Black has Kurobon ever really attacked us without you around?
>>
>>Black: No.
>>
>>Aka: And Akirabon. Kurobon had not one but two chances to kill you. You still stand here today though. If Kurobon wanted to kill you he would have already no?
>>
>>Akira: Gee I guess when I think about it you're right!
>>
>>Aka: Also Kurobon had the chance to destroy me as well, but he hesitated.
>>
>>Ao: I remember that. That's when we first found out.
>>
>>(Then Kuro gets up slowly.)
>>
>>Kuro: Akabon. You figured it out..
>>
>>Aka: Naturally. Kurobon isn't evil, but he is a darn good actor.
>>Kiiro: I'll admit that he had me going for some time, but I knew all along too.
>>
>>Shiro: Kurobon why?
>>
>>Kuro: Because, unlike you Shirobon I knew that these dragons were going to be more than a little problem. I knew that if we attacked them head on, we'd lose. So I softened the blow, and pretended to like them. The dragons got lazy with me around, so they attacked less. I knew that would happen, and that's why I joined them.
>>
>>(Kuro groans in pain.)
>>
>>Akira: That wasn't an act though. You really are in pain!
>>
>>Jack: Let's get you out of here!
>>
>>Black: I WILL NOT BE TAKEN FOR A FOOL!!!
>>
>>(Then everything begins to shake.)
>>
>>Akira: Black!! NO!
>>
>>Black: JIGOKU FLAMING DEATH!!!
>>
>>(There's a HUGE explosion and the b-daman (and woman) are sent flying into the air.)
>>
>>Akira: We're gonna hit the ground and go splat!!
>>
>>Aka: Again, I'll save the day.
>>
>>(Aka takes out a communicator and presses a button. Soon the Flare dragon appears.)
>>
>>Kiiro: It's moving by itself?
>>
>>(The b-daman land on top of the flare dragon, and it turns around and flies away. Soon it lands in a field, and everyone climbs down.)
>>
>>Ao: How could the robot activate itself?
>>
>>(The cockpit opens, and reveals.)
>>
>>Michiko: Hiya people!
>>
>>(Everyone falls over.)
>>
>>Aka: Just in case things got hairy, I had Michikobon on backup.
>>
>>Kiiro: You are too smart for your own good.
>>
>>Kuro: Hmph. I will admit that you have become smarter.
>>
>>Aka: Oh and someone wants to see you.
>>
>>(A flapping of wings can be heard, and soon Hiryu flies down from overhead.)
>>
>>Kuro: Hiryu.
>>
>>(The dragon comes and hugs its owner out of happiness.)
>>
>>Kuro: Hiryu, calm down! I'm happy to see you too.
>>
>>Shiro: Hey! Our robots are still back there!
>>
>>Kiiro: Oh man! We gotta go!
>>
>>(Shiro, Kiiro, and Ao run to get their bots.)
>>
>>Akira: Wait up!
>>
>>(Then he hears Rei calling his name.)
>>
>>Rei: Akirabon!
>>
>>Akira: Rei?
>>
>>(It is Rei with Shoizu, and Ken.)
>>Akira: Rei! How'd it go?
>>
>>Rei: I did what you said and was myself.
>>
>>Akira: And?
>>
>>Rei: Lost horribly.
>>
>>Shoizu: Hey that's the price for being yourself.
>>
>>Akira: Where's your mom?
>>
>>Rei: She's too angry at me to give me a ride home.
>>
>>Akira: It's okay. I've got to get my bot. Wanna come?
>>
>>Shoizu: Do we?!
>>
>>Akira: Come on!
>>
>>(The kids all go follow Akira to get his robot.)
>>
>>Aka: Such sweet children.
>>
>>Kuro: Maybe I might settle down one day.
>>
>>(They both gaze into each other's eyes, and it looks like a score for Aka when Jack pops in.)
>>
>>Jack: Wow Kurobon! You certanly saved all of the b-da fighting forces a lot of time.
>>
>>Kuro: Yeah.
>>
>>(Aka wishes that she could kill Jack, but doesn't let on.)
>>
>>Jack: How about giving me a ride home? I can't stay any longer.
>>
>>Kuro: Sure. Hiryu?
>>
>>(The dragon nods and lets them on it's back.)
>>
>>Kuro: First to get my bot, then to the airport.
>>
>>(Hiryu flies away.)
>>
>>Aka: Goodbye..
>>
>>Michiko: You like him don't you?
>>
>>Aka(Startled.): How long.How do you know?
>>
>>Michiko: I saw how you looked when Jack interrupted.
>>
>>(Michiko impersonates Aka's look of annoyance.)
>>
>>Aka: I guess I was a bit annoyed.
>>
>>Michiko: Hop in. I'll give you a ride home.
>>
>>Aka: Okay.
>>
>>(She gets in and the Flare dragon lifts and flies away.)
