Episode 9: The Scary Day"

Melody: Mummy, what is it that Shiro has to do to the house again?
Akira's mom: Fumigate hon. to spray to get rid of the bugs.
(Akira sighs.)
Akira's mom: What's wrong Akirabon?
Akira: Mom, I failed yesterday to help my friends in a robot battle.
Akira's mom: Honey, you shouldn't worry. From what Shirobon said you did pretty well. You picked up piloting quickly just like your...father...
(Akira's mom gets a faraway look. Like she's lost in thought.)
Akira: Mom?
Akira's Mom (Shaken): Oh yes?
Akira: I think that you're right. I did pretty well, and anyway Kurobon has way more experience than I do.
Akira's mom: That's the way to think of it. I only have one thing against this Robot business.
Akira: What mom?
(Then the view swings out and reveals that the robot that belongs to Akira is sitting in the backyard.)
Akira's mom: Do you have to keep it there?
Akira: Aww Mom, I want to show my friends and�.
(Akira's mom gets that look that says, "Do it or else.")
Akira: Fine. I'll go put it back.
(Akira walks out to the backyard, and Melody follows him.)
Melody: Akirabon
Akira: What is it Me-chan?
Melody: It's almost Halloween and I was wondering if you could drop me off at the grocery store so I can pick up some candy.
Akira: Okay. It is on the way to Dr. Grey's.
(Akira and Melody get inside the bot and fly away. Just after they leave Shiro stumbles out of the house.)
Akira's Mom: Is the job done?
Shiro: Yes ma'am. May I have permission to fall on the ground and take a well-deserved nap?
Akira's Mom: Permission granted.
(Shiro hits the floor and is soon out. Meanwhile Akira's bot flies toward the Grocery store. It lands in front and Melody hops out.)
Akira: Want me to stay?
Melody: No. You'd better do as mom says.
Akira: Okay. See you.
(Akira flies away and Melody is waving goodbye. Then shadows cover her from behind so she turns around and is grabbed by something. Before she can react they both disappear. Meanwhile Akira has just gotten to the lab of Dr. Gray.)
Dr. Gray: Yes I figured that she wouldn't let you keep it at home.
Akira: It was worth a try.
Ao: I'll put it in the Robot hangar.
Dr. Gray: By the way did you give that thing a name?
Akira: After much thought I decided on the "Flying Dragon Slayer."
Dr. Gray: Good name. Where did you get it?
Akira: Well it flies, and it's gonna beat or "slay" the dragons.
Dr. Gray: Oh.
(Then Kiiro comes in. He looks very flustered about something.)
Ao: Hello Kiirobon. Anything wrong?
Kiiro: You bet there is something wrong! My Yellow Crusher has been STOLEN!
(Everyone gasps.)
Ao: Who did it?
Kiiro: I have no idea.
Dr. Gray: Well we tried to tell you to keep it in the Hangar here but you didn't listen.
Kiiro: That's not the point! The point is someone stole my bot!
Ao: Not another mystery to solve. The missing children mystery hasn't been solved yet.
Akira: You mean the one that started about a couple of days ago?
Ao: That's right. But I think that the missing children thing is more a police problem then our problem.
Dr. Gray: But Kiiro's bot and the children might be connected�.
Ao: I don't know about that Grandpa. (To Kiiro) we should go to the scene of the crime for clues.
Kiiro: Okay.
Akira: I'll come too. I don't have anything else to do.
(The three of them exit. Meanwhile Aka walks down town listening to music with the earphones she has. She is thinking of the incident with Kuro before..)
Aka (To herself): This doesn't make sense.. Why would Kuro just dump us for them? As much as I hate to think it, maybe he never was on our side� Maybe he just pretended to like us.
(Aka keeps walking not noticing something behind her. The enigma behind her steps on a soda can making Aka turn around. The enigma disappears, and Aka continues forward. Then suddenly something drops on her full force and then seeps away taking Aka too. Meanwhile Akira, Kiiro, and Ao are at the robot hold Kiiro has near the Yellow Umbrella.)
Kiiro: See? (Opening the hold, and revealing empty space.) Nothing!
Ao: Well I don't see where anyone broke in. So someone had a key or something of that sort.
Akira: Kiirobon san, did you give anyone else the key?
Kiiro: *Thinking* Well when I made Michikobon manager I gave her all the keys, but why would she need the robot?
Ao: Another question we need to answer...
(Then Midoribon's robot suddenly appears overhead and then stops in front of them.)
Midori: Have any of you seen Queen Akabon?
Kiiro: Not since yestuday
Midori: She went on a short walk an hour ago...
Ao: Now she's missing?
Midori: Yes.
Kiiro: Is everyone losing everything around here?
Akira: Maybe that thing that kidnaps children got her.
Ao: A likely suspision. Hmmm... where would that thing be now?
Midori: Probably a place where a lot of kids hang out.
Akira: Welll...
(Then the phone inside the yellow umbrella rings.)
Kiiro: I'd better get that.
(They go inside and get the phone. It happens to be Akira's mom.)
Kiiro: Hey kid it's for you.
(Akira gets it from Kiiro.)
Akira: Hello?
Akira's mom: Oh you're okay!
Akira: Yah I am. What's wrong?
Akira's mom: I haven't seen Melodybon have you?
Akira: I dropped her off at the grocery store.
Akira's mom: Oh okay. Well I was just a bit worried. Come home in time for dinner.
Akira: Okay bye.
(They both hang up.)
Ao: What was that all about?
Akira: My mom wanted to know where we were.
Kiiro: Oh. Hey you said the grocery store�since it's getting near halloween, wouldn't a lot of kids be there?
Akira: (Gasps) Melodybon! She was there!!!
Ao: We'd better get there and fast!
(They run to the Grocery store and look around.)
Akira: (Shouting) Melodybon! Where are you?!
(Kiiro finds something.)
Kiiro: Kid does this belong to her?
Akira: Oh no�
(It's Melody's bag, that she was going to put candy in.)
Ao: I think that it got her.
Akira: We have to find it!
Kiiro: And my robot!
Midori: And Akabon!
Ao: CALM DOWN!! Okay maybe we can find all three if we start searching for the kidnapper!
Midori: Well where would a kidnapper hide out?
Akira: Wait. Maybe he'd go look for more kids.
Ao: Do you have an idea where?
Akira: Well my friend Rei was hosting some sort of meeting after school today�
Ao: Okay to the school!
(Everyone exits. Flash to the school where Rei and another kid are talking, the other kids parent comes and they leave, and this leaves Rei alone.)
Rei: Leave it to my paremts to be late�
(Then the enigma appears behind her and is about to grab her when�.)
Akira: Rei! Look out!!
(Akira grabs her hand and runs.)
Rei: What are you doing? (Then she notices the figure behind them) what is that?
Akira: Less questioning more running!
(The enigma is then hit by three b-da, and Kiiro, Midori, and Ao suddenly appear.)
Kiiro: Okay pal it's over!
Midori: Reveal yourself!
(The enigma gets up and walks into light. It is a frankenstein monster look alike.)
Ao: What the?
(It then lunges for Rei and Akira again. Kiiro high jump kicks it, but it blocks him and swats him aside.)
Kiiro: What is this?
(Ao then fires a b-da at it but the monster roars and the b-da disperses.)
Ao: I can't do anything either!
(The monster continues for the kids but then Midori swings in on a tree branch and gets the kids.)
Midori: Run!
(They all run as the monster follows them. Then they all get trapped in a courner of the playground.)
Akira: It's over!
Rei: What are we gonna do?!?
(Then a HUGE b-da blasts the monster causing it to explode.)
Ao: What was that?
Kiiro: MY ROBOT!
(Indeed the Yellow Crusher flies overhead and then lands. The cockpit opens up to reveal two people one is a undentified green b-daman and the other is�)
Kiiro: Michiko chan?
Michiko: Oh hello boss.
Kiiro: DON'T "HELLO BOSS" ME! WHY DID YOU TAKE MY ROBOT?!?!
Michiko: Calm down. Professor Ichiro here (pointing to the green guy) will explain.
Ichiro: Yes I will. You see that monster that was just destoyed was my invention.
Midori: Your invention?
Ichiro: It was originally meant to be a trick-or-treat guide for children..
Ao: Then why is it acting like this?
Ichiro: A couple of weeks ago, it went haywire and busted out of my lab. Then I heard of the children kidnappings, and this girl (Points to Michiko) is a student of mine, so I asked her to help me.
Michiko: That's why I had to borrow your bot Kiirobon san.
Ao: You're actually a pretty good pilot Michikobon.
Akira: Want to join up with us?
Ao: You could take Kiirobon's place.
Kiiro: SHUT UP AO! (To Michiko) Please for now on ask for PERMISSION!
Michiko: Fine. Whatever�
Midori: Where are the kids?
Ichiro: At my place. You see it was bringing the kids to me instead of going to them. Come with me, and we'll go get the children.
(Later at the home of Ichiro, they find all the missing kids safe and sound. Akira is reunited with Melody and Aka is reunited with Midori.)
Aka: (To Ichiro) Why did it kidnap me if it only gets children?
Ichiro: With those headphones you looked like a kid.
Aka: Ah. I see.
Midori: We have to go.
Aka: Okay bye!
Akira(To Melody): You okay?
Melody: I'm fine now. Ichiro san was very nice to us.
Ichiro: We should the rest of the parents know.
Akira: Right.
Michiko: I'm glad I could help Ichiro sensei.
Ichiro: You should really look into becoming a b-da cop Michikobon.
Kiiro: Not until her job with me is done.
(Michiko growls to herself as the others begin to leave.)
Michiko: I wonder if all this is worth one happy friend?
Akira: I think it is.
(Akira laughs and so does Michiko. Then Melody joins in and they are all soon laughing as they head on home.)
