Episode 11: Melody Bon's Admirer"

Akira: Man! This is hard work, but at least this year Shirobon is here.
Shiro: At least this is better than fumigating.
(Melody and Akira's mom put more leaves in a pile and shovels it into a bag, and as they do this, a wind blows causing Melody's hair to waft in the breeze. Little does Melody know that someone is watching this.)
Watcher: She IS the perfect one! And she's only two years younger than me! Looks like cupid's arrow has smitten me! (watches some more.) Her hair gently wafts in the breeze...like a goddess...
Melody: I'm going inside for a drink.
Akira: Don't take too long! We need help out here!
(Melody goes inside and gets herself some refreshments, when the doorbell rings.)
Melody: I wonder who that is?
(She opens the door and all that is there is a stuffed Rui-Rui doll. Melody fawns over the doll and picks it up.)
Melody: This is so cute!
(She heads back into the front yard where the others are. Akira notices the new stuffed animal.)
Akira: Hey Melodybon where did you get that?
Melody: Someone dropped the doll off at the front door.
(Then Shiro notices a dangling message at the back.)
Shiro: Did you read this Melodybon?
(Akira reads the note.)
Akira(Reading.): To my beloved, from the one who has been reached by your beauty.
(Akira makes a disgusted look, and Akira's mom walks up.)
Akira's mom: Sounds like someone has an admirer.
Shiro: Aren't you worried?
Akira's mom: No, because I know who it is.
Akira: Who?
Akira's mom: I don't want to ruin anything, you kids will find out.
Shiro: Okasan?
(She walks away, leaving them to do the leaves.)
Akira: Moooooom! You have to help us finish!!
(The next morning Akira stumbles into the kitchen looking forward to breakfast and no one is there.)
Akira: Where is everyone?
(Then he hears some clamor outside and he goes there, and sees his family watching an airplane.)
Akira: Um what's so important about this?
Shiro: It's writing something out!
(They watch the rest of the message and it reads.)
Melody: To Melodybon the best girl on the planet.
(She blushes.)
Akira: Not this again! Does this guy realize that she's eight!?!?
Akira's mom: Don't ruin this for your sister Akira.
Akira: But Mom! She's too young!
Melody: Akira stay out of this! I can handle things!
(Akira grumbles and walks away.)
Shiro: Maybe this is getting to him..
(Later on Akira is playing at the arcade with his friends.)
Akira: So now some guy is hitting on my sister!
Rei: Have you actually seen him?
Akira: No.
Ken: How do you know he's that bad then? Why are you so worried anyway?
Akira: I don't know�Something in me tells me to get involved.
Rei: Brotherly instinct. As much as you think you don't care you actually do.
Shoizu: How do you know? You aren't a boy or a brother.
Rei: I know because boys are predictable.
(Akira, Shoizu, and Ken look at her despicably.)
Rei: It's true.
Akira: Man whatever. I just know if I see that guy I'm gonna throttle him.
(Then they see a guy in a teddy bear suit walk by.)
Shoizu: That's not an everyday thing right there.
Akira: I have a feeling that I know what that is!
(He walks over to the Teddy bear guy and taps him on the shoulder.)
Akira: Hey you, where are you headed?
TB: Actually I'm looking for someone to lead me to an address!
Akira: Where?
(The teddy bear guy shows him an address. Akira looks at it and exclaims...)
Akira: THIS IS MY ADDRESS!
TB: Oh good! Can you lead me there?
Akira: Who sent you?!?!?
TB: I cannot disclose that information.
Akira: Fine where does he live?
TB: Um a place in the big city.
Akira(To his friends.): Guys we're going to the city!
Rei: Why?
Akira: To settle this!
Ken: Yeah! Now to meet some city chicks.
(The kids leave the arcade.)
TB: Hey! You didn't tell me where this is!
(Meanwhile at home, Melody is in the front yard waiting to hear from her admirer again, then all of a sudden a guy on a horse appears, and his face is blocked from her view by
a sombrero)
Guy: Melodybon.
Melody: Who...Who are you?
Guy: Your knight in shining armor that will now lead you away.
Melody: You're the admirer?
Guy: Yes, now come with me.
(Melody gets on the back of the horse and rides away with the guy, and meanwhile in the city Akira and his friends look for the admirer.)
Akira: Umm..I wonder how we can find this guy's house?
Rei: Well how about we just find the agency that sent that teddy bear out?
Ken: Good idea.
(They head to the agency and the agency sends them to a house in a really good neighborhood, and Akira knocks on the door.)
Akira: Hey open up!
Rei: I don't think anyone is in.
Shoizu: Aww we came out here for nothing?
Ken: Not really I got three phone numbers.
Akira: Okay then we should go back home.
(They head back to the suburbs and go inside Akira's house.)
Akira(To his mom): Good afternoon.
Akira's mom: Hello. I see that you brought your friends.
Ken: Yep good afternoon.
Rei: Yes ma'am we just came to rest after a trip to the city
Shoizu: Got anything to eat?
Akira's mom: In the fridge Shoizu.
Akira: Where's Melodybon?
Akira's mom: I saw her admirer take her down to I think the park.
Akira: What?!? We have to go there guys!
Rei: What? Now? We just got back in!
(Akira is already out the door.)
Shoizu: We really have to get him some anti-pep pills.
(They all follow him, and meanwhile at the park, Melody and her admirer sit at a park bench.)
Guy: Melodybon, come away with me my mom has a nice place that we could live in.
Melody: I'm only eight years old, I'm sorry but I'm not ready for that kind of commitment.
Guy: But�
Akira: STOP IT!
(He runs up to them, and points at the guy.)
Akira: Fight me like a man!
Rei: Are you crazy?!
(Akira throws a punch that the guy avoids, and then he gets up.)
Guy: You want a fight? Then you shall get one!
(The guy hits Akira with a high kick low punch combo that sends Akira flying to the side.)
Ken: Ouch. Looks like someone has been training.
Melody: You deserved that! What makes you think you can interfere with my business?
Akira(Getting up): You beat me...but who are you?
(The guy takes off his sombrero, and reveals himself to be a blue b-daman with big green eyes.)
Guy: I am Jikobon and I follow in my aunt's rules of love.
Akira: Jikobon...
Jikobon: If you are worried about age, then worry no more! I am only two years older than your sister.
Rei: Well when he's ninety-nine she'll only be ninety-seven so that's not bad.
Akira: You said you follow in your aunt's rules of love, who is your aunt?
Jikobon: My aunt is...
(Then Shiro and Akira.s mom appear with another person.)
Akira's mom: I decided to follow you Akirabon, because you have become too overprotective.
Akira: I'm sorry.
Shiro: This boy's aunt is none other than...
(A pink b-dawoman steps from behind Shiro she is pink in color, has brown hair and green eyes.)
Jikobon: Auntie Pinkbon!
Pink: Jikobon I've been looking for you! It's time to go home.
Akira: She's your aunt? (To his mother) How did you know I was coming here?
Akira's mom: Your dad was the same way when men tried to woo me. (Laughs.) Like father like son. I knew Jikobon was in town because his mom is a friend of mine. And after talking to Shirobon he told me about Pinkbon, and I realized that he was her nephew, and he'd probably go after girls kinda how she goes after men.
Pink: Now Jikobon those stories of my youth were precautionary stories!
Jikobon: But they inspirary.
Pink(Sighs): Come on your mother waits for you.
Akira: Well that clears things up.
Shoizu: Well then let's go get a bite to eat!
Akira(To Melody.): I'm sorry for getting in your business, but it wasn't like you liked him was it?
(Melody just blushes.)
Akira: YOU LIKED HIM BACK?!?! I can't believe it!
Melody: I can't wait until he comes back to visit�.he promised to take me to the movies!
(Akira bangs his head against a fountain.)
Rei: If it makes you feel any better Akirabon I.ll go to the movies with you.
Akira: Really?! Like a date?
Rei: I'm not su-
Akira: I have a date! I can't believe it!
(He hops around merrily.)
Melody: You can bet I'm coming too!
Akira: What?!? NO!
Melody: After today you owe me!
(Akira sighs and Rei laughs, as the sun sets on yet another misadventure of the b-daman in b-da land.)
