This is a "what if" story I wrote a few years ago; it started out being for an English class in college,
but then it became too personal for me, so I never read it in class. The basic events in it are true; the "embellishments" are in the details.

Well, this is a true letter, sent by one person and received by another; and yes, I know who the sender and sendee are.
I'm just not telling.

This story isn't finished yet, but of the few people who've seen it have told me,
it's something I should "publish". So here it is. Tell me what you think.

Late Night
I wrote this story some time ago; the basic elements of this story are true. Just how true, I didn't find out
until the next morning, the morning after I'd written this story; I'd written it just before we went to bed.
