What is Anime?

Anime, as it's already been briefly explained, is a "Japanese" variation of cartoon animation. I say it like that because, in all honesty,
I don't really know if it was purely a japanese creation or not. All I know is that there are many American children who've been exposed
to "Japanime" as the visual aspect of Anime is called, through such t.v. shows as:

Voltron
Sailor Moon
Pokemon
Akira
Robotech

There are others, I'm sure: I'm just drawing a blank on them. In any event, there is now a faction of Anime fans who call themselves,
"Fanfics"-- this refers not only to the fiction created by fans of particular Anime programs, but to the fiction writers themselves.
I happen to be one, and this is where I've put my Anime Fanfiction at.

My favorite Anime is Ranma 1/2.

If you don't know about Ranma, let me try to explain. Ranma Saotome is a sixteen year old boy, who is a great martial artist.
His problems begin with his father, Genma Saotome, and father's friend, Soun Tendo, and their engagement of Ranma to Akane Tendo,
who is also sixteen years old, and the youngest daughter of Soun Tendo. Neither Akane nor Ranma like this arrangement,
and though they've both grown to love each other, neither will admit it, least of all to one another. His problems are further
compounded by the addition of other women, who claim him as their fiancee: Xian Phu, a chinese Amazon who was defeated
by Ranma and claims him as her husband by a tribal law; Ukyou Kuonji, who was also engaged to Ranma by his father, in
exchange for an okonomiyaki cart; and Kodachi Kuno, who proclaimed Ranma to be her husband when he 'saved' her from her own actions.

Oh, and did I forget to mention that Ranma is cursed, and when he is splashed with cold water, turns into a girl?
