Feeling... Monday blues Food: kueh lapis - my mom's student's mom [ie my mom's boss] gave her some. so nice huh. Book: Little Prince [english edition] CD: Hits Collection by Luna Sea - this CD is very energetic. good stuff. Happiness of the day: I finally finished my cross-stitch! This is just the first of a series of 4 season-themed pieces though. I'm moving on to the "summer" piece...maybe I'll be able to finish it by year 2010. Hah. Event of the week: working working working... Some gross details of my life. I am rotting....literally, cos I have an infected wound on my left thigh. I scratched myself a few days ago, it was a really small scratch, really. But apparently my hands, my clothes and the air are all infested with bacteria, so that little cut got infected. The whole area is now red, swollen and pus-y. So disgusting...my thighs already look so gross, being so fair that I can trace my own veins. Now plus the redness of the skin, plus the yellow pus, this is the ugliest part of my body, I swear. I was wondering if a wound like this warrants an entry, but trust me, I am bothered by it. Just little things, things like needing to eat breakfast so I can take my medication. Like bringing extra plasters to go swimming. Like going ouch just for putting my hands in my jeans pockets. Like not being able to wear this particular skirt because the shape of my bandage will show. Stuff like that. I like dwelling on stuff like that. Cos frankly, I'm by nature not grossed out by stuff like pus, blood, blah blah. as long as it's my own, of course. Hahhaa... Now my thigh of course looks pretty gross. But this is not the worst infection I've had. When I was sec 2, I think, I fell down while doing long jump. in the sand pit. I had some cuts and abrasions. I was careless in cleaning my knees, and didn't really take good care of my wounds, y'know being a rugged child since young. unfortunately, my right knee got very infected. It got to the point of dripping pus onto my shoes when I was walking, which pissed me off, cos I take great pains at having white school shoes. So I went to the doctor's. She prescribed me with some antibiotics, but it turned out that I was allergic to those antibiotics. So I developed rashes all over my body, fever and all. Had to go back to docs, and she prescribed another set of antibiotics for my knees, as well as medication for my rashes and fever. Argh. I felt more sick from the allergy than from my pus-y knee. [It's a question of whether you prefer puking or seeing yellow liquid on your knee, really.] It took me a darn long time recovering from that fateful fall in the sand pit. My "career" as a long jumper never took off. [haha, corny!] Ah, another serious injury happened in kidergarten, when this boy tripped me, on purpose, I swear. I hit my jaw on the ground, and looked like a chipmunk for a couple of weeks. My mom says I could only eat porridge, so she would feed me porridge with this beef essence thingy. I'm not sure if they sell it anymore, I think it's call Bovil or something like that, the bottle is short, black in colour and has a picture of a bull, with a red cap [i mean the bottle, not the bull. haha.] I remember it tasted pretty nice. I think I subconsciously didn't want to believe that someone tripped me...y'know, cos I thought everyone should be nice to everyone, so I always thought I had mumps. Till later when I got older and read my health booklet, I realised that I never had mumps. That's all in the past though. Now, I just have some pus. and some mucus. I'm having a cold, probably something to do with my office being rather cold. Sniff. sniff. sniff. I can talk about how I had to swallow my mucus when I was sleeping cos I was too lazy to get up for some tissue paper. I can also mention the color of my mucus [it's clear, which means I don't have an infection, it's really just a cold.] But nah, I don't think you need to know all the gross details. You already know about the pus. Heh. | |
