Feeling... very sleepy Happiness of the day: wonderful play www.com, had a great time with poach. Event of the week: Electric String Quartet concert on Monday Really, the play was great. For one, the actors were very good, especially the lead actor [who also happens to be the director, really talented], whom both poach and I admired. We didn't understand how he could appear so attractive and charismatic, despite being obviously such a bastard. The show was about the relationship issues of a married couple, a pair of sexual lovers and a pair of internet soulmates. Played by 3 main actors. No prize for guessing which two played the internet soulmates. HAhaha...and the main storyline is of course between the two, about love without communication and about communicating love. Very thought provoking. love the way these Chinese actors speak, perfect pronounciation even when they quarrel, pipipapapilipala... it is rhythmic and even melodious, I swear... as a sidenote, and from there, I realise why I don't like Singapore produced TV drama. The mandarin some singaporean actors speak is horrible. bleah. I feel pity for the married couple, for being too idealistic to maintain their marriage. Especially the wife, I actually identify with her, in some ways. Being too proud to hold on to the man she loves. Being secretly romantic. Hahahahhaa... In some ways, I also identify with the husband. Hmm. wait, actually no, I don't. He's a mean guy. A charismatic attractive mean guy, but still a mean guy. Despite maintaining that he doesn't want to hurt anyone. Most of all, I identify with the mistress. To love but not loved. The more afraid she is of losing her man, the more she loves him. As if she jinxed herself, by the end of the show, she still lost. Despite her cuteness, she's the biggest tragic character of the show. haha....call me drama queen, I identify with this mistress. I can go on and on about the show, but I think over-analysis will destroy this theatre experience. If the irritating beeping handphones and pagers didn't. gggggrrrrrrrr. | |
