It's a beautiful world

Fact of the day:
event of the week: swing dancing this friday

Today being Monday, isn't all that bad after all. First of all, I saw Chris this morning, another total coincidence, and he looked so totally apologetic for having no time to talk to me, I immediately forgave him for not replying my email. Yes, I'm such a sucker. But oh well, even if nothing works out of this little romantic episode, it's worth it to just be able to smile so happily on a Monday morning. I'm still waiting for his email though, so grr, he'd better reply soon. If this guy really turns out to be a typical flirtatious insincere ABC jerk, I'll be really disappointed.

I'm supposed to be doing my engineering homework right now, but I don't have the questions I need. Damn. And to think I was going to pride myself on doing my work in advance. [This homework is due on wednesday.] So I'm not doing any work now. Against my hardworking wishes. Sitting in front of my computer, I'm doing my usual not-too-constructive stuff like checking emails, clearing ou the junk mail and blah blah.

Oh, by the way, I managed to win an online auction for the sheet music script for Moon River. This is the first time I've ever won something on an auction, pretty cool. Can't wait for it to arrive. I bidded for a piano online as well, so if I win that one as well, I will be able to play nice music in my house soon! Yes, this makes me very happy. I really like playing the piano.

But I should probably stop shopping online now. These are things I don't really need, but when I saw, I just wanted to buy it. Actually, not so much the piano, since I already did arrange to take a look at someone's piano here to see if I want to buy it. The one online costs less, and is older I think. I'll just see how it goes. But I know I also bought some relatively less essential things online, such as this book called The Lathe of Heaven. Sci-fi. I didn't even know this book existed, until a reader messaged me on the guestbook about it. Apparently, it's got something to do with dreams as well, and since bizzare dreams have always been a very big part of my life, I think I should probably read this book. So I guess this shouldn't count as one of my useless shopping indulgences right?

Anyway, no matter what, the Chris sighting this morning [haha, like he's some celebrity or UFO], the Moon River, the weather [it's bright and sunny today and the fact that I have legitimate reasons not to do my homework...all made my day! A Monday too....
