A quick quick quick one

event of the week

Omigod, almost a week of not hearing from me, I wonder how many of these people reading my journal thinks I caught pneumonia from the unlucky day thingy and died. Ok, it's not quite as dramatic as that. I was basically just totally frantically trying to finish studying for my exams. I just barely finish always about say 1 hour before my paper. Oh well...what the heck, I'll just wait for the results to come back. And by the way, for my that irritating engineering course, I got an A! Not a very strong A, but an A anyway. Hah, am I good or am I good. Hahahahaha...

The after my exams finished, I took about 2 days to pack up all my stuff in the dorm, cos I'll be moving out permanently. This summer, I'm staying in the apartment that I rented together with Lynn and come fall semester, I'll be moving into the house. So not only do I have to basically pack all my stuff into boxes and bags and paper bags, I had to sort them into categories like Things For Apartment, Things To Bring For Europe Trip And Home, and finally Things For House. Very tiring and irritating, cos I keep on finding little items just lying around to be packed in just after I seal the boxes. Grr..

By the way, I moved my stuff last Friday, when in the middle of a thunderstorm, tornado watch and all. Oh man, I'm so sick of moving heavy suitcases and stuff in the rain!

Then for the weekend, I went up to Chicago with Po Chin since she's never been to Chicago before and I really want to visit the Art Institute Of Chicago again. Though it was a very short trip, like we only had one afternoon to do whatever we want, it was pretty fruitful. I'm so glad Po Chin wants to go to the Art Institute as well. I finally managed to finish about half of the whole place. Maybe the next time I go again, I'll be able to finish the whole museum. Maybe. Heh. We went to the Penang restaurant down at Chinatown as well, cos I really really miss Singaporean food. It really isn't disappointing at all, but it's also kinda sad, especially since I just keep on reminding myself that it will be 2 months before I really go back to Singapore. I also bought cheesecake back to Champaign from the Cheesecake Factory. The idea was that we were to eat it in the apartment, together with Lynn, but oh well, we were too hungry from our greyhound busride back, so we finished half of it even before we got home. Hehe.

Today is the first day of my summer class too. Archeology And The Bible. Doesn't that sound just like the exciting stuff that summer should be made of?! Haha...ok, so this course doesn't actually sound very fascindating, but really, I am rather intrigued by it, the only boring part from the whole 3 hours of class I had today was the last hour, when the professor insisted on showing us dusty looking slides of what archeological sites look like. The first 15 minutes were interesting, but one hour of it just puts me to sleep. So of course I fell asleep. Damn, on my first day of school too. I need more determination than that!

Ok, I was supposed to meet a few of the Singaporeans for dinner, like about 15 minutes ago. It's so tough, trying to find time to go to the computer lab these days to check mail and update. My apartment doesn't have any internet connection. Damn damn damn. Let's see if I have time to come back to this computer lab tomorrow....
