(Kranji Memorial Park, Farms Visit at Lim Chu Kang area & Pierce Reservoir Nature Trail Walk)

0900	Gather at Bishan Park Main Entrance
1000-1100 (5 Lim Chu Kang Lane 6F)	Lian Wah Hang Quail Farm (Tel: 67921366) 45 minutes guided tour by Uncle William Ho. You get to touch some of the 150,000 quails, 1,000 pigeons, 300 guinea fowls and 300 partridges there. Learn about life cycle of the birds Taste freshly boiled quail eggs
1100 - 1130	Kranji Memorial Park - a walk through History
1130 - 1230	Frog Farm + Orchid Farm tour
1230 - 1330	Lunch - packed sandwich

1600 - 1700	Pierce Reservoir Nature Trail walk

The first thing that hit us when we stepped off the bus was the
smell…but that was soon forgotten as we listened to Uncle Ho's
interesting and informative talk.

We saw more than quails …there were some birds we didn't quite
recognise…turkeys?

Auntie Rose's house at the orchid farm where we had lunch.

Auntie Rose told us that she was very fortunate to live in a place like this - an orchid " paradise". We couldn't agree more - the farm was indeed very beautiful.

We crossed the road outside Auntie Rose's farm and went to the frog
farm where we were greeted by a kind gentleman and…

and thousands of …croak… We didn't stay long.

The last farm for the day - the Qian Hu Fish Farm. Hmm… pleasant
place, lots of interesting fish to see and buy and a lovely caf� where we
could sit and have ice-cream.

Before we went home, we visited the Kranji War Memorial - for a bit of History and a chance to lay orchids on the tombs of some long-forgotten heroes…
