The RoSoG works in close cooperation with the Builders Caste. In order for your ship to be acknowledged by the RoSoG, you must contract with a Registered Builder recognized by the RoSoG, to have it built. The Builder's name will be listed in the ship's registration. The RoSoG will only acknowledge two new ships per mun week from any given builder. So at any given time the number of new ships leaving port is directly limited by the number of active ship builders. Get your orders in early if you expect war looms on the horizon.
Registering as a builder can be done of two ways. You may either go through Volconis and register with LBGor, or you may have your Administrator/Ubar write us a formal letter declaring your status as being an approved shipwright and submit it to the RoSoG.
In order to be approved and remain listed with the RoSoG, you will need to meet the following criteria : You must have an active, non-deleted AOL SN, & you must have a profile that reflects your status as a builder. Your screen name may NOT be deleted once you are registered as a shipwright, except temporarily with prior notification, or you will be removed from the list of shipwrights. Any builder's screen name that becomes deleted without prior notification will be suspended from registration privileges until they are restored, or they have been deleted one mun week. All builders who delete will not be allowed to register during the period of deletion.
As with ship transfers, loss of your AOL account is subject to termination of your status as a shipwright. LBGor members may petition Volconis to change their listing, and those persons will be relisted with the RoSoG. City approved builders will have to have their status re-submitted by the Ubar/Administrator of their city with the formal letter of appointment as shipwright.
Shipwrights are encouraged to remain active and advertise, if necessary, on the Ads & Notices page. Currently there is no set standard for pricing of ships, though you may ask for examples of what some of your fellow builders charge to get an idea, if you are unsure.
In order to help keep our shipwrights active and promote an encouragement to seek out building storylines, we have formed a method to reward those who remain active and regularly submit ships for registration. For every two consecutive weeks a shipwright submits ships for registration, he/she will be awarded 1 ship from the lost ships registry.
**NOTICE** Shipwrights have 5 mun days to send in the name for awarded ships from the lost ship registry. If you don't pick up your ship by the end of that week, your ship will revert back to the registry to be given away at a later date.
