| The next morning I had to wake up at about 7 am� 4 hours of sleep. It was starting to catch up with me. I went downstairs in some of my costume and did make up. Got my make up on, did Phil�s and Rachel�s. After my make up was finished, the nausea was starting to come on full force. My apple came back to say hello, and I thought I was going to be okay� cause you know, after a person gets sick, they usually feel better. Nope. I was in so much pain and I couldn�t do my part, I felt really bad about it and I was crying� it was no fun. At least everyone was really sweet to me. We got a fairy to do my part. I tried to teach her the hand thingy that Ginny taught me, but I don�t think I was up to it right then. I listened to the play backstage, laying on the floor in pain. When it was over, Natalie came to check on me and I asked her to get Lin and Laurie so I could get up to my room. My whatever suddenly came on full force and I was in a ton of pain. All I remember was Kelly feeling the back of my neck and saying �she�s burning up� and seeing everyone around me. Lin and Rach helped me up and we walked to the bathroom where Elizabeth helped me get my make up off, cause there was a fear that I was allergic to the makeup. I got back to my room, climbed in bed and was entertained by Rach, Phil, and Lin. Rachel also gave me some wonderful antacid gum that helped a lot. We missed the second Ginny talk cause we all went to a chicken place and I had a few chicken pieces. We came back and laid on the floor outside the Ginny talk. I claimed Ben�s arms and Aileen said she�d hold it for me till the shipper meeting (key chain). I took a trip to the little girls room and when I came back everyone disappeared. I looked into the ballroom and everyone was there taking a picture. Someone spotted me so there was a bunch of yelling �come on Shan!��I love you guys <g> So I sat with Rach and Phil and we took the pic! Afterwards, everyone was coming up to me asking how I was doing and if I was okay� I felt so popular! Shipper Meeting! We went, laughed, got our gifts, I got a good tape, and I sold most of the SLLA books. The meeting was pretty short this year, for some reason. Afterwards, most of us congregated in front of the fountain where Matt was teaching Phil how to braid hair. There was laughing as any group of Scapers would, and some of us decided to head over to Applebee�s. Aileen, her boys, Matt, Phil, Rach, Lin, Kate, Nick, Ben, Laurie, Nicole, and Tony headed over there and we had to separate. Lin and I shared a potato platter and chocolate brownie. Yum. We came back and some Scapers were headed out to the movies� Some for Star Wars, Austin Powers, and others. Most of the shippers stayed in the lobby and loitered there. After a while, Shaye, Kathe, Lin, and I got hungry and walked over to Wendy�s- who is supposed to stay open till 1am. We walked up to the drive up (cause the dining room was closed) and they acted like they couldn�t hear Shaye. So we walked back to the hotel and Sarah and Natalie piled all of us into Sarah�s SUV and we drove over there. Sarah tells them we have 6 different orders and they said they could only take 2 at a time. It is so much fun to be in the same car with Snarky!Sarah. �Okay, we�ll just drive around three times!� We really drove around that Wendy�s three times, Kathe was in the back seat �having a coronary!!� and I could hardly breathe from laughing so hard. By the third pass around, the guy was practically throwing our food at Sarah. Many quotes were taken from that time, and that made me feel so much better. Now, only a few who know me know what I get like when I am sleep deprived, and those gathered in the lobby found out what I�m really like. Some things that came out of this sleep deprivation were that Kathe and I would get an apartment and name it the Banana Republic. I�d be the dictator and she�d be the TV evangelist, we had to send a pigeon to East Berlin, or a balloon, and the real meaning of a fanny pack. Many other things I�m sure, but I was so tired and don�t remember much. Refer to Shaye�s QL. At 3 or so I finally went up to sleep while Lin, Kate, and Laurie stayed up and waited till the morning when Lin had to leave. |
