| Friday Report |
| Airplane ride at 7:20 in the morning. My mom did very well, considering she�s scared to death of flying. We get into the airport and I run around the baggage terminal for an hour looking for Rachel. As we�re walking my mom hears �Shannon Lewis, please meet your part at blah blah blah.� GAH!! Finally I paged Rachel (after about 20 minutes of me trying to remember her last name) and we met up down there. Off to the busses and we get to the hotel. I leave my mom to get the room and Rach and I head to the Scaper area. I first see Elf, hugs of course. Then turn the corner and see practically half the Shipper list manning the registration line- which BTW, they were doing a great job. Mom and I go in, I get my stuff from Natalie and my mom pays for her weekend pass with Gigi. Of course I hear the normal �She�s your mom???� She gets that all the time... good for her ego and all =) Hanging out a bit, checked out the dealers room (where I finally met Talia!), and mom heads up to the room. I head towards the elevator to head up to our room and as the doors opened this body almost runs me over bolting out of the lift. I realized it was David Franklin!! I was almost run over by David Franklin!! Hee!! So when I get up to my room I realize it�s right across the way from the room I was supposed to be in. Hung out with Kate, Becca, and Rach and then headed down to the Shipper meeting. No room for us, we get the hall in front of the toilets!! At least we got to see Bianca rush her way to the bathroom. During the Shipper meeting we got to take phallic lollipops - I got strawberry. Yummy! We also had a moment of silence for Lin and Phil, since they couldn�t be with us. I colored a checkbook cover and talked with people. Me = exhausted, since I had gotten to bed at 2, and woke up at 5:45 to make the flight, so I went up to my room and took a nap. Woke up later and found my way to the MCD�s room. We decided to eat out and after driving a bit we came upon the Spaghetti Warehouse. The place was plagued with children, and they were even getting on *my* nerves. Dinner with Kathe, Shaye, Paulie, Sarah, Natalie and Cristin is always interesting. Got back to the hotel where I gave mom her food and *relaxed*. |
