| Ship 618 is a non-profit organization designed to train and teach youth about life at sea. We are supported by the King Harbor Yacht Club. Our mission is to open a window to a world that has mostly been for gotten by today's communities. We are offering an opportunity for youth as well as young adults to experience the thrill of sailing first hand. We take groups on a series of training day sails. Then during the spring or summer will set sail to Catalina island or other destinations close by depending on the skill level attained. Our fleet is a collection of boats that have been donated to the program over the years. The smaller boats in our fleet, ranging from 12- 20 feet are stationed at King Harbor Redondo Beach. The boats ranging from 28-35 feet, are stationed at Pier B, Long Beach. If you're interested in helping us (crew, operate, repair) these boats, please click on the Volunteer link at the top this page for more info. for more info please contact: Ron Grassl Email: [email protected] phone: 310- 316 -7936 |
