The Pedals
As the base of the stand is flat and smooth it does not naturally have anything to fix the foot pedal unit to. Something has to be made to accomodate that.

1/4" black foam core boards were acquired from an art supply store for the making of the foot pedal unit rest as well as various parts of the setup later on. 1/4" boards are deployed for the pedal base instead of the 1/2" or 1" because with thinner layers it is possible to mold to the shape of base of the pedal unit better with each additional layer instead of trying to make one piece that that curves a lot. 4 pieces were cut and all have 4 notches on the sides, 2 on each side, so that they lock on to the metal pillars while also having an opening in the middle to put and lock the foot pedal unit in. With each rising piece the pieces close in on the pedal unit so that it gets locked down onto the stand's base. No glue, screws, or even double sided tapes were needed this way. The stand can be used later for other purposes.
The Dual Shock 2 Hand Controller Base
A large block of industrial packing sponge was acquired from an industrial sponge supply shop. (the type used for A/C filters and packing cushions for sensitive items like hard drives) Proceeded to mold and cut a hand controller base for the right wing, where the DS2 will be located. A piece of black foam core board was cut to serve as a faceplate for the hand unit stand. Wood screws were used to screw the faceplate on. GT3 logo nailed to driver facing side.
