In and around the Lupine Auberg Inn, things continue to be hectic. Nash and Seed face off... when suddenly Brist butts into their conversation. Nash, looking for a way out, offers to take Brist outside for a breath of fresh air. Also, outside, Rowd runs into the princess of Highland, Jillia. After a brief conversation, the two part ways.
Within the walls of Highland Castle, Roderick and Fycta continue to mingle.
On the streets of L' Renouille, Shale and Zio brought Culgan and the wounded Ultema into a cozy little room to discuss her "return." Before things go far, however, Ultema's assailant strikes yet again. Although Valsataloshkas manages to once again poison the captain of the White Wolves, his stay is short lived. Valsataloshkas turns and fled towards the edge of town, with Zio in hot pursuit. With the assassin unable to move through the shield protecting the capital, he must turn around and face his chaser: Zio.
Meanwhile, the foreign captain Hicks teams up with the Ryle, captain of the Highland Basilisk company. The two proceed toward the room where Culgan and Ultema were last known to be, taking advantage of the absence of Zio. Before they could arrive at their destination, however, their targets come to them. Culgan steps out with Ultema, and begins to take her back to the castle with Ryle in tow, when Rowd shows up as well. Culgan dumps off Ultema with Ryle and Rowd, and then takes off, leaving the rest up to them. Hicks, meanwhile, was left in that dark alleyway with the task of "checking out" the area the group had just left.
Lastly, on the border with Highland, the Victorians send a company of men and their supplies marching into Highland and towards the city of L' Renouille...

Sierra and Rean stop by an inn to catch a bit of shut eye. Problem is... the place stinks. Literally and metaphorically. They try to make due, but it's not worth the trouble. When they try to get their money back, they find that there is a no-refund policy. THAT is the punch line in a sick, demented joke of a motel.
In the Lupine Auberg Inn, things get messy. Ultema and Georg's conversation ends as the female warrior comes to the rescue of her pathetic excuse for a brother, who happens to have been caught cheating in a game of cards... and strangely enough... is also in debt. After a fight, Ultema drags her brother out to safety. Also, Nash runs into Seed, and it looks like things are going to heat up yet again. Finally, General Jhee manages to get away from Brist.... and that's all I can figure out.
Within the walls of Highland Castle, Hicks has a brief talk with Fycta. In exchange for some information, Hicks allows Fycta to catch some rest on his bed while he heads out for a stroll through town. The rest is short lived, however, as Hicks sent the Highland guard Roderick to "deal" with a supposed "creature" that had taken up residence in his room. When Fycta and Roderick meet, things go a little differently than Hicks would have thought...
On the streets of L' Renouille, after the brawl in the Lupine Auberg Inn, Ultema is poisoned by the assassin Valsataloshkas. Culgan happens to come along, and plays the knight in shining armor, doing his best to save the female fighter. He is on his way back to safety, when suddenly Zio and his mysterious hooded companion stop then. They apparently want Ultema "back," and invite Culgan into a more private area to discuss the situation. Meanwhile, the Victorian Captain Hicks watches them from the shadows of an alleyway, with nothing better to do...
Neclord manages to get Pesmerga to help him accomplish his goal. In return, he claims he will help Pesmerga find Yuber...
Lastly, on the border with Highland, the Victorians finally begin to take action...

In the story, several different things have begun to unfold since July. In L' Renouille, Hicks and Jillia continue to have idle conversation as they await the arrival of Prince Luca Blight. Also, General Culgan is still searching for the Prince, in order to tell him that he has guests waiting for him in the Highland Castle Meeting room.
"And the land was thrown into a drunken stupor" best describes what is going on in the Lupine Auberge Inn in L' Renouille. Several key characters (Nash, Georg, Omri, Jhee, Zaj, Zio, Brist, Canaille, Seed, and Ultema) gather in the tavern to mingle and relieve some stress... and some for other darker purposes. Ultema flirts (:P?) with Georg. Jhee meets with his wife, Omri, and child. Zaj waits for another certain Harmonian. Zio moves inside in search of his "prey." Brist and Canaille eventually interrupt Jhee and Omri's get-together. Oh, and some random drunk fool wandered in there as well, preaching some gibberish. Please pay him no mind.
Fycta leaves L' Renouille and... lands? (Sorry, I wasn't able to draw any conclusions on what your intent was after you left the city ;-;)
Jowy seems to be a little restless, and heads out of the castle to mingle and train with the troops.
Neclord continued to speak with the Star Dragon Sword... when suddenly Pesmerga launched a failed attack on the lord of darkness. Neclord now contemplates what to do with his new catch.
Lastly, on the border with Highland, the Victorian military digs itself into defensive positions with its series of forts along the border nearly complete... and only with a day's time. Within these ramparts is Rufus... who positively makes a fool of himself. Enough said.

In the story so far, it seems events are beginning to unfold in Highland, and people begin to flock there from all directions. However, due to the Highlander's concern for the safety of their people, a magical shield of energy has been erected over the capitol of L' Renouille. The Chaos Shield can deflect even the most powerful of enemy bombardments, but allows those worthy enough to simply walk through the barrier.
Within L' Renouille itself, Prince Luca Blight is returning to the meeting chambers in search of Culgan. General Culgan has left the meeting chambers to go off in search of Prince Luca, and if they're lucky enough, they will run into each other. The two remaining Victorians wait within the walls of the chamber, along with Princess Jillia Blight, for Luca and Culgan to return. Up on top of the castle, Ultema's friend Fycta is trying to get some sleep, but is being pestered by a bunch of aggrivated Highland guards. Rowd remains on guard duty outside the castle. Lastly, Zio heads into an inn after the Harmonian Zaj.
Outside of Highland, Neclord, Shion, and Nash finally part ways. Neclord heads off in search of the Star Dragon sword. Nash receives a letter from the bird Dominguez, and departs for Highland. Shion is using his frequent flyer miles. George Prime is on his way to Highland as well, hearing word of the strange events going on there, willing to lend his aid if needed.
Back at the Highland / Victorian border, Jhee gets a letter that he accepts with hidden excitement. The words written on the letter make him suddenly depart for L' Renouille. On the other side of the border, the Victorian forces begin gathering in large numbers, and a small team begins to assemble...

In the story, some new plots have arisen, while others seemed to have stopped (aka. Neclord). Once again, I ask anyone who has seen Neclord to report his whereabouts to your nearest Founder, so that we may send out our special Bounty Hunter team to retrieve him. Anyone who gives us any information will be rewarded $400... though the fee for daring to talk to us god-like Founders is $500 (I'm kidding again, by the way O_o;;)
After the brief meeting with the Victorian princess, the Highlanders Ultema and Culgan are asked to put up a magical shield around the city of L' Renouille. The two are on their way to do so, but keep getting interrupted by Fycta, Ultema mischievous friend.
Speaking of the Victorian princess, it seems someone didn't like her too much, as 'silenced' her... permanently. Along with Princess Ayame, General Marcus and five of her guards were found dead in her borrowed quarters. Victorian Captain Hicks seems to believe that only the traitor they were hunting down did the deed, and assumes command of the mission. He orders two of the surviving guards to gather the bodies and return to their homeland, while him and another guard will stay behind.
Rean Penenberg informs Sierra Mikain that he will help her find Nash Ratokie, though it seems he has his own reasons for doing so...

In the story so far, some interesting plots are beginning to unfold. Rean Penenberg is currently taking Sierra Mikain on a tour of his extravagant mansion, giving his guest a five star treatment.
In some rickety old inn, Nash Ratokie, Shion, and the infamous Neclord are having a battle of wits. Neclord has told them his story, and has asked them for assistance. Also, the Innkeeper suddenly fell over dead. Oh, and not in this order, either (x_x;;).
Miklotov and his men are out training, while the mysterious Zio continues searching for his "prey."
Lastly, the Highland Youth Brigade is entering the capitol of L' Renouille. Highland General Jhee and his men head out to take over the duty of border patrol, while General Seed, and Captain's Ultema and Rowd, head in to meet with Prince Luca Blight. To the surprise of many (or not, I haven't really seen people's reaction), they have a rare group of people tagging along...
