How do I find the sprites I want for my comic?

Easy!  Search the web.  Yahoo or Mamma.com should give you good results.  Search "______ Sprite Sheets" and fill in the blank with whatever game you're wanting the sprites of and you'll probably be able to find it.  A quick shortcut would be checking at Heat man's homepage for any megaman sprite you could ever want, or Psyguy.com for Sonic the hedgehog and other cool sprites.
If (and this is a last resort 'cause I'm always busy) you can't find the sprite, and you looked
really hard, email me.  I probably have the sprite or know where to find it.  If I don't... um... sorry.

How do I flip the sprite so it faces the other way?

That's easy too.  There's this nifty option in paint.  When putting the character into the panel.  Go to image>flip/rotate choose flip horizontal.  Tada!  It's flipped!

When I resize my character its blurry.  How do I fix that?

Well that depends?  Did you resize it twice?  If so that's your problem.  If it's the wrong size after you resize it the first time, delete it and try resizing again.  If you didn't resize twice then your proportions are probably off.  I was recently reminded by super_saiyan_goku43 that an easy way to resize your sprite is to go to image>stretch/skew.  you can change the height and width of the sprite or entire sheet.  Thanks super_saiyan_goku43 for that helpful tip.

How do I make a custom sprite?

Take a sprite and edit it.  It takes practice to get good at it but keep trying 'cause it's fun.  Recolor is the easiest way to edit.  Simply, in paint, chose the color you want to get rid of as the color you would be drawing with.  Choose the color you want to replace it with as the background color.  Use the erase button and right click.  It will replace the top color with the background color.  I've made a tutorial to help you with that.

Will you make me a custom sprite?

Um... That depends.  If you're a friend of mine, sure.  If you're just some random person I've never talked to before than that depends on how difficult the edit is and how much time I have.  Currently I'm working on one custom sprite, one of HIGH difficulty for myself (complete armor change and recolor).

If by some chance I convince you to make me a sprite, how long do you expect it to take?

It depends on the level of difficulty.  Simple recolors will take a few days to a week, depending on how busy I am.  Armor edits can take from a few weeks to a few months depending on the level of change and how busy I am.  You'd have to tell me EXACTLY what you want.

Can you put my comic on your site?

Sure can.  Just submit it to me and up it will go in my next update.  Please give me the over all name of the Comic (like mine is Shinotenshi's Very Odd Comic)  plus the name of the individual comics (if you name them)

When I save my comic as a .gif it changes the color or when I save my comic as a .jpg/.jpeg it becomes a bit blurry, how do I stop that?

The reason this happens is that .gif files have a limited amount of colors that it can use.  If you use a color in paint that a .gif can't use it will change it to the closest color that it can use.  .jpg/.jpeg's on the other hand is a poor quality of picture so the color "bleeds" into the surrounding area, causing it to look a bit blurry.  The only way I've found to solve this problem is to save in Photoshop, which I just got.  If you don't have Photoshop then I don't know to help you.

Can I use one of the sprites you made?

I only own Shinotenshi, the Angel of Death, because I am Tenshi.  When I get him done I'll own Paladin too but he's not finished.  I don't own ShinoRyuu, Nobody, Steve-o, Nothing, or Spartan.  I only made the sprites for friends of mine, I don't claim any ownership.  If you want to use Tenshi or Paladin (not done) ask me nicely and I may send you the sheet.  All I ask is credit for my work in return.  It'd be nice if you also gave a link back to me but I'm not super picky.  If you ask the owners and they say you can use them email me and I'll send you thier sprite (if they don't have the sheet).  I still ask that I get credit for my work because I did make the sprites even though I don't own the character.

How do you make an animated .gif?

You need a program that will let you make them.  I use
GIF Construction Set by Alchemy Mindworks Inc.  They have a shareware version that you can download for free.  It's a great program.  You simply make pics of all the frames you want to use. (kinda like stop motion photography) Then with the program, put them all together and save.  Ta da you have an animated .gif.  Just remember, the more frames you use, the bigger the file size will be.

When will you next update your comic/manga/art/site/etc.?

When I have time and something to put up.  I make comics, custom sprites, draw, write stories, RPG, play video games, update my site, get ready to go to school, talk online, surf the net and spend time with family and friends. Needless to say I can't do all of that every day.  I update when I have time.  My computer recently crashed, I managed to save all my sprites though.  Plus, and I'll admit, I have a bit of writers block.  I'm still working on it though.  Please be a patient patient.
If you have a question that I didn't already answer or if you need more specific detail on anything feel free to email me at [email protected] and ask away.
