The topic? There are hundreds of possibilities for what the real Hikusaak is like, but one of the biggest departures from my usual character is the idea that Hikusaak may be a woman.
Amber said: "I like the idea that Hikusaak may be a woman since Konami refuses to confirm his actual gender. But this is me, so it's not too surprising." So that became my challenge of sorts. I drew a couple of pictures and perhaps there will be more. She was fun to draw:
I gave her a similar hairstyle that I usually use for Hikusaak, but I made her costume more detailed.

I gave her blond hair to try that out. I don't draw as many blonds among my Harmonian characters as I probably really should since I want some variation of colors and I prefer to draw dark hair. ^-^;
Kisara, as I began calling her, told me here, "Honestly, who thinks a man would've decided they wanted a cute boy like Sasarai to be their representative in the government?" In criticism of my use of Kiisan. I did see her point. Kiisan's response? "No comment."

So I drew her again. This time with a baby. (By this time I've decided I really like her look.)

The next step was to determine what she would've looked like as a young hero type, like my poor long-suffering Kiisan. (long-suffering because I've been working on his story for years now) It was easy! She turned out perfect in the first drawing and so I drew her with Kiisan. With the wisteria patterned tunic and the scarf on his head, you can tell it's Kiisan near to the end of his tale. Kisara has a simple costume and obviously her journey is yet to begin. It's like I could write a whole other epic.
....I like Kisara....

This could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship... -Suzume.
