A little bit about us!

Nana and I met on March 5th (NO LIE) of 2006. We had been talking back and forth on the cosplay.com forums about Final Fantasy Cosplay for Anime Central, before long Nana decided to friend me on livejournal so we could get to know each other a little better before ACen. Not soon after she added me I learned that she lived near me (in the city) so I took the opportunity to invite her to the zoo. We had a great time at the zoo (there were many horny animals) and the sleepover/Gravitation Marathon that followed. After that we talked back and forth on Livejounal and AIM, we didn't really hangout again until ACen, where we spent about 10-15 minutes together.

After ACen, I decided that she should hangout with us more often so I started inviting her to different group events and sleepovers. Before we knew it, the summer was over and we had spent 4 out of 7 days of the week together, and we had become best friends. We could sit in my room and talk about everything, for HOURS. So, as you can imagine we learn a many of things about each other. The more we talked, the more we found we had in common, the closer we grew.

Returning to school this year was especially hard for the two of us. We had grown so accustom to seeing each other almost every day that the thought of being a state apart was devastating. We both realized that we would have to leave our best friend to pursue an education. :( But, to no avail we talk on the phone EVERYDAY about one thing or another. Even though there is a state between us, we are still best friends and we share everything!



Why Nana and Hachi?

Well, before we started reading NANA we both had different nicknames. (Selphy and Elena.) But, once we started reading the NANA manga we started to relate to the characters, as I am sure many people do. The more we read, the more we related to the characters. Soon we started to notice the similarities between the relationship Nana and Hachi share with the relationship that we have. All of our personal friends agreed that the two of us were VERY MUCH like Nana and Hachi in personality. So we decided that we would use Nana and Hachiko as pet names for each other. However, it didn't take very long for all of our friends to catch on and start calling us by the nicknames. Now many (if not most) people know us as Nana and Hachi.
