Review

If running a fan website, is not enough proof to you of this game's brilliants this review should be, but before I go all crazy fan boy reviewer on you. I should give you a break down of this game's strengths and weaknesses. After all no game is perfect.


Addition Information

Only the first part of Shining Force 3 was released in English scenario 2 and 3 were never translated. However an English Shining Force 3 savefile does work with Scenario 2 and 3.

The Shining series is one of Sega's longest running game series. The series reputation has taken a bit of a knock in recent releases as Camelot haven't been making them. Climax, Camelot and Sega have all made games for the Shining series.
However in truth it should be Camelot Shining series not Sega's.

Shining Force character make an apperance in Timestalkers (Climax Landers) on Dreamcast. Camelot have since gone on to make the Golden Sun series which is more of a sequel to Shining Force III than Shining Soul.

Shining Force III

Background

Shining Force 3, set in an ancient civilization where battles between Good and Evil were commonplace. You and your party face many battles along the way, you'll need both brawn and brain in equal measures if you wish to succeed in this quest. A truly Epic game featuring sensational battle scenes. Traverse across vast lands with full full 360 degrees movement, enter lush town where you'll be able to upgrade your arsenal of weaponry and meet potential party members. You'll also meet a host of interesting characters along the way, some friendly others not so. With over 50 + hours of gameplay Shining Force 3 is one of the biggest Saturn RPG's to date.

Unlock Difficulty Select
Finish, Shining Force 3 Scenario One, and create a completed save file, now when you start a new game or load up a previous save game. Go to the configuration menu and below Battle Message a Difficulty Select will have now appeared with this you can make the game much harder.
Unlock Sound Test

Finish, Shining Force 3 Scenario One, and create a completed save file, now when you start a new game or load up a previous save game. Go to the configuration menu and highlight the Difficulty Select and then press down on the joypad a new menu option will appear. With this option you can listen to all the Music, Jingles, Sound Effects and Voices found in the game

Extra Voices

If you go to the sound test and listen to the playable characters voices, you will hear a number of voices not used in Scenario 1, it's believed that they were going to be used as the voices for level 3 super's with other weapons.
