Part Seven

"Come in, come in!" Duo led them through another pair of doors and onto a porch.
"Have you ever read any of the books with Omi?" he asked Trowa, who shook his head,"Mmmmm that boy makes me hungry!"
"How about 'Aya's Lost Dreams?" Duo asked the brunette.
"Nope, haven't read that one either," he was then handed a large, thick book with a slim, muscular, deadly looking red head boy, the background a large picture of a dark brown haired boy with matching eyes.
"Take it, I have many copies!" Duo offered, and then glomped back onto Quatre.
"Oh, and I can't wait for 'Omi's Savage Secret',"the boy rambled, and Quatre smiled.
"I just finished that one,"the blond told him, and Duo practically burst.
"Ohhh you *have* to send it to me!"
Trowa turned over to look at the author picture, and his eyes nearly popped out of his head. There sat a very tense Quatre, wearing a horribly casual suit, making him look almost scary.
Trowa looked over to him companion, smiling at the ripped shirt and dirty slacks. His blond locks fell over his beautiful blue eyes, which reminded Trowa of the sea...
"And you have to come see our village! We have so many things here I want to show you!" Duo was almost bouncing with joy.
"What I really need, is a phone," Quatre said to the braided boy.
"No, no telephones, I *hate* telephones, but have a drink," Duo offered, pushing Quatre into a chair. He walked over to the cabinet, but pulled out a brown cowboy hat first.
"See? I got this from one of your books!"
Quatre grinned and laughed, and Duo did the same.
"Oh! Your drink! Anyway, in our town we have many things, cobblestone roads, rare farm animals..." Duo handed Trowa Quatre's backpack so he could get something for Quatre.
"How about a Xerox machine?" Trowa murmured, remembering the map that was hidden in the backpack he was handed.
"Yes, but she's broken," the violet eyed boy replied.
"Um, where is the nearest phone?" Quatre asked, getting up and taking his backpack from Trowa.
"Many miles from here,"Duo replied.
"Can we get there in your car?"
Duo laughed.
"Who told you I had a car?"
"The men in the village."
"Ah, they're such comedians! They mean my little mule, Shinigami!"

Midii and her goons pulled up to the bellmaker's house, and she loaded a rifle...in case it was needed.
They were about to go and hold up all the occupants, when the garage burst to pieces and out came a gigantic, raven colored, freshly polished truck. On one side was a long scythe, and on the other in cursive was writing that read 'Little Mule'.
It sped down the road, nearly running over some of the soldiers. The man who used the machine gun on top of one of the jeeps started firing, spinning it around.
"Not bad for a little mule eh?" Duo joked, and he pushed down on the gas peddle, but came to a line of animals in the road and quickly spun around.
"What are you doing?" Trowa asked in surprise as they went back to where they had come from.
"I can't run over my favorite pig!"
They were going straight towards one of the jeeps, and the driver quickly turned to the side, slamming into a house.
"You see over there?" Duo pointed to a group of trees,"My mother planted those! And over there! That's where my brother was born!"
They hit a large bump, and Quatre bounced off of his seat, and onto Trowa's lap. He blushed a deep crimson, and attempted to slide back to his spot, but he felt the brunette's arms wrap around him protectively.
"Just making sure I still get my three hundred and seventy-five dollars safely,"the green eyed boy whispered, and Quatre felt like snapping his fingers.
They heard guns firing, and looked behind them to see the large machine gun being fired at them.
Duo grinned more as they came to a slope, and he sped up even more, making them practically fly down it.
"This guy is more crazy then I am!" Trowa gasped as he almost hit his head on the roof as they hit another bump.
"Yeah!" the braided boy laughed as they came to a corn field, and he started to drive through it. Midii and company followed in hot pursuit, but were losing them in the field.
Suddenly Duo exited the field, and they were on a plain.
"What are you doing that field had us covered?!" the brunette gaped at the boy.
"I wanted to show you this other field..." the braided boy replied as they entered another corn field.
They heard guns firing again, and Quatre looked up into the rearview mirror to see Midii stand up in her jeep and shoot at them with her handgun. It hit a jug of gasoline in the back of the truck, and a large fire suddenly started.
"This chick who's chasing you, she's very persistent!" Duo commented, making sure his cowboy hat was still on his head.
Quatre yelped and buried his face into Trowa's chest, and the brunette had a secret, small smile on his lips.
"Don't worry, Shinigami's fire proof!"
They then came out of the field, and Trowa saw a river ahead of them.
"You see that river?"
"You mean the one without the bridge?" Trowa muttered, and Quatre looked up at him.
"What do you mean the one without the bridge?"
"....and it eventually feeds into the Amazon River and..."
Trowa pointed towards the river as Duo continued to talk about the uses of the river.
"The one without the bridge! What the hell are you doing?!"
" We'll use the Lupas Escape! I've used it many time in the past!" the braided boy was giddy as he pushed a button on the car's dashboard. A medal ramp rose up where the side of the river was.
"He wouldn't..." Quatre gasped.
"He couldn't..." Trowa gaped.
"I will!" Duo finished, laughing at what he said.
Quatre clung to Trowa and felt the other boy pull him closer. He buried his head once again, and then heard Trowa yelling.
"Oh My God!" the brunette winced as they hit the ramp, and flew over the river, landing on the other side. The saw the first jeep coming up to the escape, and Duo pushed the button again, making the ramp go back down to where it had been before. The men in the jeep screamed, before falling into the river.
"Ha ha!" Duo laughed more, and they kept driving down the road as the men in the other jeeps cursed them.
Midii jumped out of her car and glared at the disappearing truck, promising death.
