My love is sitting across from me in our small apartment room, his sparkling blue eyes gazing into mine like we're sharing a secret that only the two of us know about. His lips part as if our whole world spills into slow-motion, and laughter bubbles out to caress every wall of the room. His small hand clenches onto the fabric of his jeans, curling down to better situate himself to his joy. His coughing follows next, his glowing eyes dropping liquid.

"Oh, Trowa! Hush!"

The name dances off his tongue smoothly as if he was speaking of a god, his eyes once again flicking to meet mine. He draws a tip of blonde hair into his mouth, nibbling lightly while playfully staring me down.

I brush a lock of my brown hair behind my ear and allow a small smile to form over my lips as I gaze at my blonde lover. He stares into deep green eyes, his lips curving from a joyful smile down a notch to a gentle turn of his lips.

"Trowa... not in front of company!"

Quatre's warning me not to touch him again in plain site of our friend, yet I can't help myself. I let my hand slide onto his knee and move it up to his thigh. He pushes me off carefully, letting my touch linger on his knee for a brief moment. Blue eyes cloud over for a fraction of a second before they flick to the other occupant of the room.

"So. What brings you here?"

Soft breathing is the only noise in the room for a few drawn-out moments, before I laugh and poke a humorous jab at our friend. Strands of musical laughter come from all three of us, soaking in the gentle humor and embracing it with open arms.

I watch our company closely, staring into his dark eyes and briefly wondering why he came. I feel my eyelids lower into a contemplative squint, millions of thoughts rushing through my head. I open my mouth and repeat the question.

"What brings you here?"

His lack of response worries both Quatre and myself. We shoot each other small glances and then look at the other man, waiting for him to say something. Anything.

"Is everything okay? Are you in trouble?"

Quatre's words flood into the sudden silence with such force our friend winces and shakes his head carefully, trying to ease our concerns. His dark curtain of hair falls foward to cover his eyes, and we shift nervously as he hides himself from us.

My love's wooden chair shifts and squeaks as he stands up, pading over to our friend. He stops by the couch and stares at him, as if he was looking for injuries, one of his sock-covered feet propped up on the other one.

"Is... everything alright?"

He looks up into Quatre's eyes and smiles. A hopefully genuine action on his part. My blonde lover obviously takes this as a good sign, because he laughs again and asks the same question we've both been asking him since he came knocking on our door and tugged us away from breakfast.

"So. Why are you here, Wufei?"

Two sets of eyes suddenly meet my startled gaze, asking that same question.

"Why are you here, Wufei?"

I look past Quatre's side and stare at the person who asked the question that time. Trowa puts a seemingly comforting smile on his lips, offering friendship. They stare at me until I give them a tiny chuckle, and Quatre moves back to the chair next to his green-eyed lover.

Reality sets in, and I watch them closely as Trowa once again places his hand on the blonde's thigh. I watch them as they smile at each other and laugh until I join in.

"I'm just here to see my friends."

Trowa and Quatre shoot me an odd look, raising eyebrows and trying to force back tiny smiles. Like a trigger, Trowa squeezes Quatre's knee teasingly, and the blonde lets out a small yelp, pushing his hand away.

"Trowa! Stop that! Wufei doesn't want to see you assault me!"

A smile tugs at my lips as I slide my hand back onto his leg, putting delicate pressure on but no longer seeking to make him laugh. I look across the room to where our friend sits, brown hair hanging down over my eyes, and I give him a friendly wink.

"Wufei... you're being quiet."

And I look back, gazing into intense green, pretending I was him.
