Duo Maxwell was looking around at his fellow pilots, who
always failed at seeing beyond his Facade. His Famous Mask.
Duo sighed and decided to go to his room.
~I do not trust, so I cannot love
(can't no man be trusted)~
Could any of the pilots be trusted with the part of Duo
Maxwell that was not too pleasent. ~And I would not dare to
open up (this life of yours is dusted Duo)~ The person in the mirror
told Duo, what he felt himself. ~Well my rent's past due and
now my car won't start, I hate the bus~ Duo really hated
public transporation, but didn't want to bug Quatre out of his
cuddle time with Trowa.
~(well aren't you glad you have somebody to talk to)~ Said
the Voice in Duo's head.
~Tell me what do they see when they look at me
Do they see my many personalities~ Who do they see, do
they see me as a jester, a braided baka, or a solider. Duo
found exactly what he was looking for a hunting knife.

This is my reality, oh oh~
'Can anyone help me!?', Duo screamed into his head. Duo
was tired of feeling alone, and pretending to be alright. When
he returned, he sat in front of his mirror. Again the person in
the mirror started to talk to him.~(can it be my turn now, is it
my turn Duo)~Duo replied ~"Said I'll say it again, you're my
only friend~". The mirror reflected back to Duo~(I protect
you from the world, I basically protect you from yourself)~.
Duo startes to cry like a lunatic(1). Duo responded to the
mirror, with tears running down the side of his face,
"~Though I can't go on, I'm not satisfied with this being the
end~". "~(this is just the beginning)~". Duo sobbed harder
with the knife still in his hand. "~Tell me why can't I just
reach up and simply touch the sky. Tell me why can't I
spread my arms and fly and fly and fly~". Duo screamed out
with the knife tracing his wrists. "~Tell me why can't I say
this, why can't I do that. Tell me what do they want from me,
tell me how to act~".
Wufei heard Duo yelling , concerned about his fellow pilot
he stood at Duo's door. He was the only one home, and the
only who noticed something was odd with Duo today. So he
had been watching him all day.

Wufei entered Duo's room just as Duo set the knife on the
table. "~So I'm putting it all on the table~". In the Mirror and
his head he heard, "~(tell em' Duo)~". Duo went to the
window and Shouted for all to hear, "~You don't know me
well enough to label me, sick, or even disturbed. When you
break it down I'm just two Guys. Trying to blend, trying to
vibe" " ~(trying)~". Duo heard wufei gasp, and looked at him.
"~Trying to live just one life~". Wufei touched Duo's arm
Duo flinched his arm back. "~(so hard)~". Just then everonye
walked into Duo's room woundering about all the noise. Duo
looked strait at them. "~Everybody's got insanities...I got a
split personality. Tell me why can't I just reach up and simply
touch the sky~". "~(why can't you)~". Duo smiled at that
voice. "~Tell me why can't I spread my arms and fly and fly
and fly~". Duo looked sader at all them. Quatre looked like
he was about to cry. "~(you can)~". Duo Looked at Heero,
"~Tell me why can't I say this, why can't I do that~". the
voice spoke to him again. "~(just do it)~". Duo turned and
looked at the mirror again and asked, "~Tell me what do they
want from me, tell me how to act~". "~(I can't, I can't)~".

Duo looked to all the pilots. "~Can you help me~". "~(talk to
me, talk to me, don't ignore me, I can't take it)~". Duo moved
closer to all the pilots. "~Do you hear me
Do you see me everytime~". "~(oh calm down, it's not that
serious, we'll be just fine without them)~". Duo Picked up his
knife, "~It's all mine...it's my reality...it's just too much for
me~". "~(you're my friend, you're my
friend...Duo!...Duo!)~".

1. Clinically depressed people oftin do that when they can't
handle it. Im Clinically depressed and I have gone off the
