The Disco Era began in the second half of the 70's. It was more than just music and dance. It was a way of life. Disco changed the way we dressed, the way we walked, the way we used our body language, and our lifestyle. Floral shirts with butterfly collar, casual suits, tight polyester bell-bottom, and a pair of six-inch platform shoes made up the coolest look on a dance floor. Unisex clothing became popular, and it used to be totally cool for a girl to be dressed up like her boyfriend.
Taipan, Manhattan, Valentino, Hilton Dan, Talk of the Town, and Disco Disco were the major discotheques in the 70's where we danced and communed in rapture. |
