Released in 1998, this was a vast departure from Ice's earlier days. A mixture of a heavy, grinding rock sound covered with rap vocals (and the obligatory bits of screaming) composed this album.

Considered by Ice to be a therapeutic album more than a comeback, this new sound captured new fans and still managed to retain the old.

Falling fate to a lack of marketing, Hard to Swallow still managed to sell more than 50,000 and remains a popular album with Ice fans.
