The first picture of my photo essay features various women picketing outside the White House, calling on the current President of the time, Woodrow Wilson, to give the vote to women. Surprisingly enough, Wilson supported women's suffrage -but at the time he was in the middle of confusing business and had no time to focus on women's rights. Nevertheless, the women picket.
A poster for women's rights is placed on the left, with a woman carrying flags and tooting a horn along with the words.
George Washington with famous women activists Susan B. Anothony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton in a poitical cartoon. This cartoon is meant to compare Susan B. Anothony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton's Constitution for women as like the Constitution written up by our founding fathers and so and such. Basically a cartoon that doesn't lay hot water on women, you might say.
