Story

Ok here�s a quick summary of the Canon version:

In the first Street Fighter tournament Ryu fought well enough to reach the finals where it was Ryu vs. Sagat. At first, Sagat was wining and had an big upper hand�But just before could officially lose , he was consumed by the desire to win at all cost, and for that brief moment he was Satsui No Ryu and he did a Metsu Shoryuken on Sagat, tearing through his chest and leaving Sagat a huge scar across his chest and Ryu as the winner. At the time Ryu had no idea what had happen to him, hoping that his master Gouken could give him the answer he returned home, only to find Gouken dead, and sensing Akuma�s Chi �.So on goes Ryu to search for killer..

On day Ryu got to fight Akuma in an island called Gokuento, Akuma was holding back and was testing Ryu�s ability . From this Akuma tells Ryu about the Satsu No Hadou and when Ryu fully awaken it , he wants Ryu to find him and have a battle, and with a punch Akuma destroyed the island and leaving Ryu with the words of Akuma. Ken eventually meet up with a seem to be bothered Ryu, they fought and Ken won. Ken notice that Ryu wasn�t focus , he gave Ryu his red headband to remind him about this fight and to be focus. One day he met a lady named Rose and warns him about M.Bison, and how he must fight with his soul or he�ll lose�Eventually Bison (he wanted Ryu to be his next body) found Ryu and caught him off guard and Bison tried to take control of him, Ryu resisted, but in the end Ryu�s mind gave in and Bison took control of him�But soon Ken , Sakura, and Sagat found them, Ken and Sakura fought M.bison as Sagat(he didn�t like the idea of Bison brainwashing Ryu) fought Psycho Ryu, and Sagat won. Ryu then overcame the mind controlling and did a Shoryuken on Bison, forcing Bison to retreat. Ryu later promise Sagat a real match one day when he�s (Ryu) ready. In Sf3 Ryu entered the tournament, but got defeated by Oro, but he then seek out Ken and had a match, and Ryu won. He also faced Alex and won as well
