A kind of dish that literally means favorite grills, various types of food such as noodles, meat and vegetables are mixed in a batter and then, the mixture is grilled. Though people compare them to the pizza or the pancake, you don't eat okonomiyaki the way you eat either food as one, you don't eat them with your hands like you would with pizza slices and two, it has more of a sandwich look, which is not the case with pancakes. As far as I know, of all of the cities outside of Japan, only San Francisco and Los Angeles have places that serve okonomiyaki and San Jose has a place that serves okonomiyaki pan or okonomiyaki bread. The most popular character associated with the okonomiyaki is Ukyou of "Ranma".

He is the father of Ootsuka Akio and the father-in-law of fellow seiyuu Souma Youko.

I. This is used by males and this is the tough guy version. You rarely find a girl that says "Ore". Never say this in front of someone superior to you. Just about any character voiced by Hiyama Nobuyuki-san or Kanna Nobutoshi-san say this form. If that doesn't help, other examples include Kyou of "The King of Fighters", Keitarou of "Love Hina", and Yuuko of "Moeyo Ken", the last one being of those few girls.
