Zachary Abram Mendes Barry was born at 4:45 pm at Stamford Hospital on October 3, 1998

Zachary Abram Mendes Barry was born at 4:45 pm at Stamford Hospital on October 3, 1998. Right after he was born, Grandma Mendes, Grandpa Mendes, Great Aunt Susie and Great Cousin Adina came in to say hello.

As of June 26, 1999, Zachary has 6 teeth, can stand up and grab on to something on his own, laughs and shrieks with joy and eats Cheerios.

As of July 29, 1999, Zachary has 7 teeth, "cruises" around rooms, happily eats Wasa crackers and Wasa and cream cheese sandwiches, and has begun to chatter "abbah-abbah" (which, ironically, means "Daddy" in Hebrew), "maa-maa-maa" and other delightful sounds... Zachary also now knows when he crawls out of range that we will chase him. When we don't chase him immediately, he turns around to see if we're paying attention. When he's sure that we see him and are about ready to get up to get him, he laughs and starts to crawl faster. When he IS caught, he laughs, arches his back and throws his hands up in the air!

As of September 13, Zachary climbs stairs, says "Ma-ma" to him Momma and "Da-da" to his Dadda. He's eating solid foods (had a bite of his first tuna sandwich on Saturday), loves to hug and snuggle, and, most importantly, is walking strongly.
