This series is based on the story of the first police women to use her gun during work operations in the Hong Kong history. This police women, Joyce Tang, is a very impulsive and inexperienced police while her partner, Esther Kwan, is more of a housewife than a police. All Esther wants is to be a full-time housewife and take good care of her husnand and son, therefore, she does not care and is not very enthusiastic about her job as a police.
Bobby Au Yeung also plays a police and use to be very good with his gun, but now he's role does not require active work anymore as he examines guns and bullets to help uinvestigating teams with their investigation. Bobby is also Joyce's uncle. While Marco is the head of the investigating team and he is well known for his great contributions to the police force and is popular amongst girls becasue of his coolness and good looks.
Esther isn't a very good police as she is only a secertary and works from 9-5, as she only works to get money and support her family and her family is her first priority. Even though she cares for her family so much, her husband cheats on her and has an affair with this other lady. after this, they divorced so she had to support herself, her son and pay for their living. Meanwhile, her job position changed and she has to be on duty as a real police. But the problem associated with this is that she is very unfit and she doesn't have enough time for her son. Because of the hardness she faces as a result of her husband leaving her and financial problems, she proves to herself and others that she can still survive without her husband so she tries really hard with her work and continually trains herself to be a fit policewomen and prove to her husband that he has made a mistake by leaving her.
Joyce is new to the police force, thus, she is very unexperienced and she acts on impulse and does not think before she acts. As a result she causes a lot of problems for her teammates. During her duty, she interferes with the operations of another police team, and they were engaged in a large and important operation. Because of her impulsiveness, she wrecks their operation and also fires her gun in order to catch the people. As a result, she became the first police women in Hong Kong history to fire her gun during official operations. Joyce and Esther become good friends as they are in the same team and eventually they both get changed to be on another team which doesn't require them to be in uniform, they do more investigating work and not just boring shifts working around on the streets in their uniform.
Marco is the head of the investigating team that Joyce and Esther is in now, Marco's first impression of Joyce is not very good because of her impulsiveness and that she wrecked his last operation. He thinks that Joyce isn't professional enough. Marco is very popular around the police force and his greatness of being a police makes Joyce and many other girls fall for him. While many girls fall for him including Joyce, he already has a steady girlfriend, Mok Ho Yan, who is a fashion designer and has her own unique style and attitude.
As Esther and Bobby's relationship develops and they have good feelings for each other (though Esther doesn't show it), Esther's ex-husband returns and wants to re-unite with Esther because supposedly the women whom he had an affair with ran away with all his money and now he's got nothing and wants to be with his family again. at this stage, Esther is very unsure about what to do to both the guys, one whom she use to love and father to her son, and the other whom she now likes. When Esther is still thinking about whom she should go with, Bobby misunderstands her and thinks that she has already chosen and that she doesn't like himself, as she never revealed her feelings.
For a long period of time, Joyce hid her feelings for Marco and the only one that knows about it is Joe Ma, which is also a police and is her workmate in Marco's investigating team. He knew because Marco was trying to set Joe and Joyce on a date and then Joyce revealed that she doesn't like him and only likes Marco. Then Joe and Joyce became good friends and everyone thought that they were going out including Marco, but then Joe couldn't keep the secret in anymore and told Marco that they weren't going out and that the person Joyce likes is not himself but you, Marco. Marco is very surprised and then he felt that he had feelings for her as well (at this stage Marco has broken up with her fashion designer girlfriend). When Marco revealed his feelings towards Joyce, Joyce was utterly shocked but she accused him that he only thinks that he likes her because Joe told him that she likes him. After a while, at Joe's wedding, Joyce was the bridesmaid and Marco was the best man, so they were a partner, and after the wedding Marco fully revealed how much he likes her and without her consent, he pashed her and then she believes that he really likes her and then they start dating.
However, Mok Hoi Yan (Marco's ex-girlfriend came back) came back and wanted to get back with Marco, and because of Marco's kindness, he is really nice to Mok Hoi Yan and gives her more hopes about them getting back together and Joyce mistakens Marco for only going with her because Mok Hoi Yan left her. So she thinks she is a substitution and that Marco doesn't actually like him, but, infact Marco really likes her and that he is only friends with mok Hoi yan now. so Joyce finally undersatnds him and they soon get back together.
Meanwhile, Esther lives with her husband but in separate rooms, so their relationship is sort of wierd. But then she finds out that her husband didn't really separate with the other lady and that he only came back so that he could get some money and his house back. Esther was really pissed off and gave him his money back but she felt sort of relieved as now she could get together with Bobby. When Bobby realised that Esther's husband has left her again, he is really happy and he reveals to Esther his love for her.
At the end, Esther and Joyce become really strong, independent women and a very well-trained and professional police. Then they both end up marrying the person they like on the same day.
