Dear friends!

A new year with a new group.

The 2003-2004 workshop ended with the decision, that we will not be capable this year to bring a group together to live in an apartment. A part of the teenagers marched into the army, Louis, a young Palestinian from Nazareth, tries his way in the drama school "Bet-Zwi “, Noam, a young woman from Newe-Shalom/Wahat as-Salam, was dismissed from the army for conscience reasons, and she does a social service this year, and next year, she will study drama in NY.  Dana, another young woman postpones her service in a theatrical year of service, with which we stand in a sort of competition, only that this group is not Jewish-Arab mixed.

We began to form a new group, that will form the next mixed apartment, in August 2005. We met the first time in the weekend of November 17.+18., immediately after the Muslim ‘Id el-fitr, again in the Open House in Ramle, during a very stormy weekend.

After a couple of worm-ups we began to build machines, and then to destroy it…(Photos: 018-038, and two videos clips,: clip1 and clip2)

After we enjoyed the Couscous of Michal we began the evening program, for which everyone had prepared a small scene. Michael and Javier played a scene from “rhinoceros” by Ionesco, Ortal a monologue of Chanoch Levin, Meissan a monologue, that he wrote himself, Hila a monologue from “Palestinian” by Sobol (to these scenes the photos 039-075).

On the next day, we began the program after the breakfast with a written exercise on which a practical one followed: how do I embody a teenager “from the other side?” (Photos 079-100)

After the lunch, everyone led the other (while the second is “blind”) through the yard of the Open House (Photos 101-118 and videoclip4)

Until the late afternoon, we played different theater games. (Photos 119-136 and video clips 5 + 6)

Although most participants prepare for their high school diploma, all want to come back on the next time, in December (after Hanukka), and I have the feeling, this time, that we have a good group, a group that can realize also the whole project: to live together for one year.

Let's hope the best!

Best greetings
