Duo: *clears his throat* Ahem. Heero, koi? This one is for you!

I would jump if I knew you'd catch me."
Duo Maxwell held the microphone close to his lips as if he'd been born with one in his hands.
"Staring over the edge
I can't tell if you'll be here for me."
He turned his violet gaze on Heero, sitting in the front row of the audience.
"I close my eyes and make a wish
Turn out the lights and take a breath
Pray that when the wick is burned
You would say that it's all about love."
Oh, Heero. Would you? I don't know...

Duo smiled softly and extended a hand to Heero. The Japanese boy's eyes widened.
"You were never here..."
He sighed and gestured for Heero to rise from his seat and come to the stage. Heero looked doubtful.

The brown-haired pilot rose and stood at the foot of the stage where Duo bent down to look in his ice-blue eyes.

Heero, a little unsure, looked at his lover's pained face. "Duo?"
Duo extended a hand to Heero, who curiously accepted it.

Duo assisted Heero in getting up onto the stage and carefully holding the microphone in his left hand, looped his arm around Heero's shoulder and neck.

Duo began to sway slowly with the beat and soon they were dancing rythmically to the music. "Heero..."
Heero, not uncomfortable at all with being up on the stage slow-dancing with Duo, offered his koi a small but rare smile.
