Shima Inverse was born in Beijing, China on April 3rd, 1987. Shima’s parents died when she was five, and an emotional barrier blocks out the memory of the cause of her parents’ death, so that information is unknown. Her only living relative is her cousin Lina Inverse, a very strong sorceress. They do not keep in touch, however. Shima became head mechanic of Anaheim Electronics at the age of seven. Shima did not discover the full extent of her magic until age eleven, when she got so angry with a pilot that she vaporized his mobile suit with a stare. However, Shima does hold the galactic record for successfully repairing a mobile suit. This record was made with a gundam that had lost both of its arms, its right leg and its head, which took Shima ten minutes to repair; five more minutes were taken to upgrade the gundam’s main armor.
At age twelve Shima traveled to Nova Squadron headquarters. The leader of Nova Squadron, Zak Barton, agreed to let her stay there for a time. A year later, she traveled to CtarlCtarl and met up with Shiro ClanClan. Shiro now constantly comes to Shima for his mechanical needs. During Shima’s time on CtarlCtarl, news came that Anaheim Electronics, the company she had once worked for, had been attacked and destroyed by a renegade pirate fleet. Shima’s anger affected all of the mecha around her, and soon a group of ships docked at the spaceport were reported "missing." At age fourteen Shima gave up trying to use mecha and just increased her control of magic. She decided this after the same pilot that she got angry with before came into her shop with his gundam in less than mint condition; it was missing most of its electronics and had all of its armor stripped. The gundam was obliterated soon after its arrival. Shima’s emotions can make her go berserk and she occasionally loses complete control of them. That also makes her lose concentration when it is needed. This may make her a forceful pilot at times, but it can also make her a vulnerable target.
At age fourteen, Shima got involved on a security mission with a top agent. The agent, Kasumi Phoenix, was a tough martial artist, and soon, the help of Shima was not needed. Kasumi is a much livelier person than Shima, and considers them "pals." Shima usually shutters at the thought. So Kasumi adds to the "associate" list.
Except for Zak Barton and Shiro ClanClan, Shima has no close friends. Her work is usually alone, in private and in enclosed areas. But even though emotional struggles have challenged Shima’s ability to work with people, Shima will work on teams when large projects are too overwhelming to perform alone. And while these projects do come up, they do not do so often. Shima believes that her advanced mechanic ability gives her no time for long relationships, though many people admire her for her work and concentration. Besides loving any mecha, Shima loves dragons. While traveling the galaxy, Shima befriended one and named him Tempis.
In conclusion, Shima Inverse is not a person that one would want to cross. She is emotionally unstable, and will attack anyone who gets in her way. However, on the inside Shima is a very friendly person, she simply is very lonely. Shima believes that her work is too important to be caught up in relationships, and thus has few friends and no interest in love. She is a hard worker, a mechanical genius, and a constant tinkerer. If only she could get past her problems...
