The FIRST Robotics competition is an exciting multinational competition that teams professionals and young people to solve an engineering design problem in an intense and competitive way. The program is a life changing, career molding experience and a lot of fun. In 2004 the competition will reach more than 20,000 students on over 1,000 teams in 27 competitions. Our teams come from Canada, Brazil, Great Britian, Puerto Rico and almost every state in the U.S. The competitions are high-tech spectator sporting events, the result of lots of focused brainstorming, real-world team work, dedicated mentoring, project timelines, and deadlines.

The structure of our team is based on a distribution of taltent. Each segment of the team whether media relations or electronics has worked independently, but come together seamlessly. There are five segments of the team, each involing approximately seven students with similar talents. Each segment has an adult member for guidance. These five segments came together on a regular basis, both during the school day and after school to create the finished product.
