"Wu~cha~n. Plea~se. Plea~se. It'll be fun!! You need some friends..."
Duo climbed the tree and sat next to Wufei, tugging at his arm. Wufei was ready to strangle the intruder...
"Wu-chan, why don't you make any friends? You're gonna be like that roommate of yours... Daniel.."
"Samuel," Wufei glared at the boy, "and I don't make friends because apparently, one of you is enough."
Wufei pushed Duo away and tried to get back meditating. Duo stared at Wufei for a moment and embraced him, almost knocking him over.
"Maxwell!! What are you-"
"You've just said I'm your friend! Oh, Wu-chan!"
Duo giggled and took Wufei's hands and shook them. Wufei was embarrassed and his face turned all red.
"I..didn't!.... Oh Maxwell.."
Wufei sighed, looking at the glittering eyes.
"You're impossible...."
Duo thought he saw Wufei smile a little bit.
"So.. what kind of party were you talking about?"
Wufei stood up on the trunk of the tree and stretched his arms. Duo looked up at him in disbelief.
"...Well?"
Wufei looked down at Duo with a face. Duo quickly nodded and answered.
"It's Zechs' welcome back party!! He said there's going to be buncha important people there, but you don't have to dress up or anything-"
"Zechs Marquise? Important people?"
Wufei interrupted. Duo couldn't see it but Wufei had red flames in his eyes.
He suddenly jumped off the branch. Duo watched, not knowing what to say.
"Why didn't you say so..."
Wufei grinned.
"Ahh... Wu-chan... we do have an invitation..."
Duo was surprised and happy Wufei agreed to go along, but he didn't know why he was sneaking up behind the mansion....
"Quiet Maxwell. We'll get caught."
Wufei looked around and began to climb the tree beside the building. Duo sighed.
"Wu-chan! Can you hear me!? We don't have to sneak in!!! We can just enter from the gate!!!"
Wufei simply ignored him and continued climbing until he could see the room from the window. He jumped from the tree and landed on the third story balcony.
"Wufei!!"
Duo called, but no response came. He had no idea what Wufei was thinking....
"Is he crazy?! What the hell is he trying to do?!" Duo sighed and decided to follow him. He started to climb the tree, looking side to side for any sign of guards. He reached the balcony Wufei jumped to and tried to see if he could see him.
"Who's there!!?"
Duo almost fell when he heard someone yell from below. He quickly jumped on the balcony.
"Someone has invaded Treize sama's room!! Quickly, warn the others!!"
Duo heard footsteps and people shouting from below. This is not good...
He noticed the window was opened and figured Wufei went inside. He slowly entered the room and closed the window. Just as he thought, Wufei was there, glaring at him.
"Why did you follow me, Maxwell? And what's with the commotion outside?"
"What the hell do you think!? What kind of a game are you playing, Wufei!!? I was detected by one of the guards and we're gonna get caught pretty soon if we don't get outta here-"
Just then, Duo saw the object in Wufei's hand.
"Ahh.. Wufei.... Why are you carrying your sword here..?"
Suddenly, the door opened. The two boys turned to see a tall figure. He looked surprised at first, but smiled at them.
"I apologize if I interrupted something. But I wasn't expecting any guests in my room tonight."
"Treize..."
Duo whispered. Wufei remained quiet and glared at him. Then they heard loud footsteps approaching.
"Treize sama!! There is an intruder in your room!!! Please, get out!!"
The guards tried to rush in the room, but Treize locked the door behind him.
"There is nothing to worry about. Carry on your duties and tell Zechs I'll be right down."
The guards hesitated but they had to follow orders. The three of them heard the guards slowly walking away.
Treize walked to the small table and poured himself some wine.
"You boys want some drink?"
Before putting the cork back on, Treize looked up and asked. Duo shook his head, but Wufei stood motionless.
"I see you've brought your friend with you this time."
Treize sipped his wine and smiled at Duo. Wufei stood in front of Duo and pointed his sword to Treize.
"He has nothing to do with this."
Treize put his glass down and retrieved the rapier from the wall.
"You're right, little Dragon. This is between you and me."
They took their stance and eyed one another. Wufei suddenly plunged forward, but was blocked effortlessly. Wufei was shoved away, but he quickly got up and kept attacking Treize.
"Ahh... guys?....."
Feeling completely left out, Duo finally spoke. But the two kept fighting, not even aware of his presence.
"Ah, I see you have been training while I was gone. Good."
"Shut up and fight me, Treize!! All you do is block and wait for my next blow!!"
Duo blinked his big eyes in amazement. He had never seen Wufei so.... alive before. He finally figured out why Wufei agreed to come to this party.
"I'll just.... ahhh... leave you guys alone...okay? Umm.. good luck, Wufei."
Duo slowly went out the window he came in from. He didn't want to cause any more trouble, so he decided to go home. He jumped trunk to trunk until he landed on the ground. He quietly walked out of the gate and picked up a cab. He came here in Wufei's car and unfortunately didn't have the keys for it.
"Man, what a day.." He relaxed on the seat and thought to himself. He had no idea how and since when Wufei and Treize knew each other. But he guessed they had been acquainted for quite sometime now...
"Well, might as well finish that essay Heero has been nagging about..."

You actually thought this would be a 5x2? Well, turns out there are no couplings for this one...(TreizexWufei, maybe?) I wasn't quite ready for 5x2... Well not yet, anyway...
