| Welcome to Shifter's Skid Mark Driving School Shifter's Skid Mark Driving School's independant study driver education course offered in cooperationIsle of Man College covers the fundamentals of driving, defensive driving, decision making skills and other important concepts that will help you become a safe, responsible, and defensive driver. The course consists of approximately 30 hours of academic study using approved texts and other course materials. Six hours of behind-the-wheel instruction and six hours of driving observation. At the end of the academic course work and in the car instruction, you must pass a final exam with a minimum score of 80 percent. This course satisfies the Isle of Man driver education requirements and will qualify successful students to take the Department of Transport drivers license written and driving tests.
