Requirments
The only requirements a student must meet to register for driver education at Shifter's Skid Mark Driving School's are:

1. You must be at least 16 years of age.

2. If you are under 18 years of age, a parent or guardian must sign for you at time off registration.

3. Tuition must be paid in full at time of registration.

The Isle of Man also has a list of it's own requirements that must meet an individual before an Isle of Man Driver Licence will be issued.
Obtaining a drivers licence in the Isle of Man is not a complicated process. It requires a maximum of seven steps

The steps are:

1. Completion of driver training or have a licence from another town or country.
2. Assumption of financial liability.
3. Furnish positive identification.
4. Payment of applicable fees.
5. Completion of medical questionaire and vision test.
6. Completion of required written/skills tests.
7. A photo.

Any or all of these steps may apply to you, depending on your individual situation.

Completion of Driver Education

All individuals who have never been licesnsed to drive a motor vehicle must complete an approved driver education course before being licensed in the Isle of Man.  A certificate of completion of the course must be furnished to the examiner at the time application is made.  Remembere that this certificate of completion is not a license to drive.

Assumption of Fiancial Resposibilty

Every person who is under 18 years of age must have the application signed by one of his/her parents or guardian.  If the person has custody, then a responsible adult who is willing to assume responsibilty for the minor may sign.  The person who signs should realize that his/her signature is an assumption of legal responsibilty for the appkicant's driving.  It may be withdrawn if the adult who signed is no longer willing to assume that responsibilty.  When the signature is withdrawn, the applicant's driving privilege is canceled and may be regained only through proper assumption of responsibility and the payment of another fee.
The applicant may also be required to retake all tests.
