
1. Use ink whenever possible.
2. Bring materials to class everyday unless otherwise instructed.
3. Seats are assigned, do not move. If you are not in your seat when roll
is taken, you are absent.
4. Please do not ask to leave the room unless it is an emergency. Make all
calls in your free time--not class time.
5. DO NOT PUT YOUR HEAD DOWN.
Do not pop gum, put feet on desk, or forget your materials.
6. If you fail to bring your book on the assigned day, you will have to
take a zero on the work. You cannot share
books and I do not lend books.
7. Put your name on your paper. If you have questions, ask the teacher
for help. Otherwise you will not
get credit for your work.
8. ALWAYS bring a pen and a pencil to class for assignments.
9. Do not talk, say, answer, ask, tell, or communicate while working on
assignments, Quizzes, or Tests.
You will get a zero on that work.

NOTEBOOK
1. You will keep a notebook which will be graded 3 times. These 3 grades
will be add together as one quiz grade.
2. Date each days note with the date of the day. This will be a major consideration
when your notebook is graded.
3. Divide your notebook into the following sections.
Daily Work--this includes notes, maps, worksheets
Summary
Quizzes
Unit Tests
Outline
4. Put gradesheet in front of notebook. As you receive a grade, record it
on the gradesheet. If you do not
have gradesheet in front of notebook when it is taken up, it will receive
an automatic zero.
5. Put class regulations in the front of your notebook behind the gradesheet.
6. You should be able to keep up with your average during the semester by
using the gradesheet.
QUIZ
1. You will have a Quiz about every week on the block schedule.
2. It will cover material presented in class during that period.
3. Material on the Quiz will be used for Unit Tests.
4. Do not be absent for Tests. It is alsways more difficult to make up a test when you have been absent.
UNIT TESTS
1. You will have 5 to 6 Unit Tests this semester.
2. Material will come from Quizzes as well as material presented since the
last Quiz period.
3. Since there are fewer of these tests, they are very important. DO
NOT BE ABSENT ON TEST DAY !
SUMMARY
1. After assignments, and especially after Quizzes, we will read articles
and write a summary.
2. It will be due at the end of the period.
DO NOT LEAVE THE ROOM WITHOUT TURNING IN SUMMARY
3. It must be done in INK or 10 points will be deducted.
4. It must include SOURCE or 10 points will be deducted.
5. Make sure you put your name on your paper or you will not get
credit for it. Zero.
6. Make sure you put the date or 2 points will be deducted.
7. Put the Title or 2 points will be deducted.
8. Do not abbreviate words like " and" or "because"
or 2 points will be deducted.
9. The teacher will designate the length.
OUTLINE
1. We will have articles periodically to outline. The Teacher will give
you the article or we will go to the library.
2. It will be due at the end of the period.
Do not leave the room without turning in your outline.
Occasionally you will have an outline for homework.
3. It must be done in ink or 10 points will be deducted.
4. You must put the source or 10 points will be deducted.
5. You must have the title or 10 points will be deducted.
6. You may write on the back of the paper.
7. Length will vary.

ABSENCES
1. DO NOT BE ABSENT. Bring a note for an admit slip.
2. Bring admit slip to teacher when you return to school.
3. Only excused absences will be allowed to make up work. School policy
will be followed concerning the time
allowed to make up work. Other arrangements can be made by discussing with
the teacher.
4. It is your responsibility to find out what work you missed.
5. If you are absent and leave your note in another class
You will be responsible for the work in class that day--even if it is a
test or quiz.
6. Additional absences during the make up time period will not add time
to make up time assignment.
DETENTIONS
1. DO NOT BE LATE AND DO NOT MISBEHAVE.
2. Detentions assigned and not served will double. If student does not serve
the time doubled. it will be turned
over to an administrator.
