Most years, I merely mention which movies were available to watch at the convention, but this year I really enjoyed getting to watch GMK on the big screen and thought it deserved a little bit more of a focus. The theater was a nice place, sorta old fashioned, as we all filed into one huge room. Seeing a Godzilla movie with so many other G fans is always an amazing experience. Watching GMK was no exception, especially since I gather a lot of the audience had not yet seen the movie. The size of the monsters on the screen the booming surround sound, the fans cheering on the action, it all culminates into an experience you can't get anywhere else.
The first picture below shows the line as it began to form outside the theater. The line in the distance is just for those people still buying tickets. Off to the right is the actual line, which stretches beyond the edge of the picture. |
