| Billed as "The greatest little giant reptile show on Earth!" the modeling portion of the convention never manages to dissapoint. One might think that the number of entries in the contest would begin to plataeu after so many years, but with the number of fans showing up continuing to rise, so is the number of modelers. It has gotten to the point that the entire outer wall and even an island of tables of the show room are needed to display all the entries. My favorite model this year was probably the King Kong Escapes diorama that is pictured in page 2 below. It was a very well designed diorama, with three great buildups and a combonation of two scenes from the movie put into one display. The above kit, was one of the fan favorites, as people generally seem to love the idea of Godzilla fighting Gamera. |
