Woodhenge
This unusual formation of wooden pillars, sometimes referred to as "logs" was believe to have been erected by the Druids, who are believed to have inhabited this area between 20BC and 50AD. The significance of this arrangement is unclear, however, it is noted that a line bisecting the pattern of shadows at the height of noon on the day of the summer solstice points directly to the Beer Store in Westport, Ontario. It is assumed that the "Beer Store" occupies a site that once held some significance to the early inhabitants of this land.
Rare Lake  Bluefin Tuna
John holds what is now known to be a history making catch, a previously unknown Lake Bluefin! This 219 pound specimen put up quite a struggle, which lasted almost 18 hours, and was taken on 3 pound test line and ultra-light tackle. Subsequent study of the fish has conclusively demonstrated that this lake once had open access to the ocean, which facilitated the early settlement by European settlers long before the commonly accepted period of european exploration. Since this history making catch, the lake has become a favorite of sportsfisherman seeking trophy fish, and has also recently (and unfortunately)seen the development of fish canning establishments along the shoreline.
