We started showing Shibas at AKC events in 1999. We live on five acres in Iowa. Both my husband and I were raised in the country. We lived in town for a while but couldn't stand all the people so we moved to the country and we will never live in town again. All of our dogs are pets first and are loved and raised in our house with the help of our two children Brooke (14) and Bradon (12).  I'm a full time stay at home mom so I can be there for my kids, dogs, cats, sheep, and horses. And what ever animals the kids can talk Rich into. Rich is a RV transporter which is nice because he can be home anytime he wants or anytime I want to go to a dog show. He also transports rescues from IA to IL for Midwest Shiba Inu rescue when he heads to IN to work. In 2004 we added Kane to our family, He is our first show Rottweiler. Many Rottweilers have lived here before we got into showing Shibas. I'm surpised it took Rich 5 years to get another one. Thank You Joy for talking Rich into getting a show Rottweiler instead of just a pet. It has been great showing him.

Brooke and Bradon are into riding horses at horse shows. They have two horses named King and Stoney.

Brooke is riding in NBHA(National Barrel Racing Ass.) and Iowa Girls. This year Brooke is going to be riding Stoney.
Brooke rode Stoney in Mississippi in 2007

Bradon is riding in IMBRA (Iowa Mens Barrel Racing Ass.) He also rides in 9-13. He is now riding King the horse Brooke rode last year. Robin has been put back into retirement.
