SI Nautilus' sire, Naevus, earned $111,250 racing eight times, winning twice, placing thrice, and taking show twice. Naevus fell short of winning the San Rafael Stakes, the San Felipe Handicap, and the San Vicente Stakes. Naevus' sire, Mr Prospector, was the highest priced yearling sold at auction in 1971 for $220,000. His yearling full brother sold for world-record $625,000 on July 22, 1974, three days after Mr Prospector fractured a sesamoid. He is the sire of 2000 Kentucky Derby winner, Fusaichi Pegasus (who racked in $4 million at Kee Sales). He set new track records at Gulfstream Park and at Garden State. Named leading sire twice, he is the sire of twenty-four crops of racing age, 1,156 foals, 179 stakes winners, 14 Champions, 711 winners of 2,267 races and earning $69,243,155 in North America. Mudville race six times and won two races, earning $10,400. Her sire, Bold Lad, sired by Gold Ruler, raced nineteen times and won fourteen times earning $516,465.
At age five, Northjet was sent to the USA, and at age fourteen, was sent west to Germany. He had eleven starts and three wins, earning $230,359. Nautilus' dam, Not Quite White, is a true pure white mare. His full brother is white as well. I would say that it is very possible that Nautilus is able to sire foals that will be white as well. His lines trace to War Admiral, Nasrullah, Princequillo, Count Fleet, and Polynesian in addition to the lines we have listed.
Tilus, as we affectionately call him, is an excellent show jumper. Although he is ten years old, we are training him slowly to adjust him to heights of the jumps. It is very possible that he could easily jump 5' (as he jumps 2'6 with room to spare), but we don't want to rush him. He clears jumps with knees tucked, vaulted into the air by his powerful quarters. This stallion has a wonderful mind for jumping, and he seems to analyze the best route and angle with which to take the jump from, like his rider directs him. He is quick with his turns and speedy on the course.
Lines also trace to Nasrullah, War Admiral, Princequillo, Count Fleet, Polynesian. Dam is white.
