| Shiba Inu is pedigree dog from Japan, its name means little dog. they are about 40 cm (15") high. After the second world war they were almost extinct. But fortunately a limited number managed to survive. Due to the American occupation shiba Inus mixed with other breds, in 1959 much to the astonishment of the Japanese gouverment only a few pure shiba inus were left . The race is protected by the Japanese state now and has spread to Noth America and lately also to other countries. |

The most gave these kind dog a japanse name. But we chose the name "Vosje (Foxy)" because it face looks like a Fox |
